A novel β-glucosidase (BglPm) was identified from Paenibacillus mucilaginosus KCTC 3870T which has ginsenoside converting activity. The gene, termed bglPm, consists of 1,260 bp and belongs to glycoside hydrolase family 1 (GH1). After being overexpressed purified Escherichia coli, the enzymatic properties BglPm were investigated. enzyme exhibited an optimal activity at 45°C pH 7.5 showed high bioconversion ability for major Rb1 Rd into F2. Thus, it used mass production relatively pure F2...
The ginsenoside Rg2(S), which is one of the pharmaceutical components ginseng, known to have neuroprotective, anti-inflammation, and anti-diabetic effects. However, usage Rg2(S) restricted owing small amounts found in white red ginseng. To enhance production as a 100 gram unit with high specificity, yield, purity, an enzymatic bioconversion method was developed adopt recombinant glycoside hydrolase (BglPC28), ginsenoside-transforming β-glucosidase from Pseudonocardia sp. strain Gsoil 1536....
A novel bacterial strain (BS20T), which has ginsenoside-transforming ability, was whole genome sequenced for the identification of a target gene.

In the current study, we investigated whether electroacupuncture (EA) can inhibit pathological reductions in neurogenesis. Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rats at 7 weeks of age were anesthetized with zoletil, and sham-acupuncture or EA Zusanli (ST36) Baihui (GV20) acupoints was administered once a day for 5 weeks. ZDF group that received sham-EA (ZDF-Sham group), blood glucose level significantly increased together as compared to control littermates [Zucker lean (ZLC) rat]. contrast,...
Neuroblastoma is the most common tumor in children and still a carcinoma, which requires discovery of new therapeutic agents as were cases other cancers.Although anticancer activity rare ginsenoside compound K (CK) against various cancers has been reported, there are few studies on neuroblastoma. In this study, cell viability migration assay tested expression 17 genes related signaling pathways was analyzed to determine potential CK an agent for neuroblastoma. For study human neuroblastoma,...
