The spectral energy distributions are presented for 60 galaxies which 8–13 μm, and in some cases 17–23 spectra have been obtained. These infrared (IR) bright discussed terms of their properties the mid-IR relationship with far-IR properties. Almost all can be placed one three classes on basis μm spectra: those dominated by family narrow bands between 3–13 featureless continua that display silicate absorption band. H II region galaxy nuclei, i.e. contain powerful nuclear regions whose...
Cation site occupation is an important determinant of materials properties, especially in a complex system with multiple cations such as ternary spinels. In this work, we show that XES provides not only the information EXAFS, but also additional on oxidation states at each site. Additionally, superior and far more accurate method than EXAFS.
We present the result of near-infrared spectroscopic observations on radio galaxy 3C 22 (z=0.937). Contrary to previous classification this object as a narrow-line galaxy, we report clear presence broad Hα line, showing directly that at least some powerful galaxies are simply reddened quasars.
Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) are carbon-based molecules that ubiquitous in a variety of astrophysical objects and environments. In this work, we use JWST/MIRI MRS spectroscopy three Seyferts to compare their nuclear PAH emission with star-forming regions. This study represents the first its kind using sub-arcsecond angular resolution data local luminous (Lbol>10^44.46 erg/s) on wide wavelength coverage (4.9-28.1 micron). We present an analysis properties by comparing observed...
We present a statistical analysis of the properties obscuring material around active galactic nuclei (AGN). This study represents first its kind for an ultra-hard X-ray (14-195keV; Swift/BAT) volume-limited (DL<40 Mpc) sample 24 Seyfert (Sy) galaxies (BCS40 sample) using high angular resolution infrared data and various torus models: smooth, clumpy two-phase models disc+wind models. find that (i.e. without including polar dusty wind component) provide best fits comparable number galaxies,...
