A new family of two-dimensional metal coordination polymers with the general formula [M(ox)(bpy)] (M = Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II); ox C2O42-; bpy 4,4'-bipyridine) have been designed and synthesized via hydrothermal routes. Quantitative yields were obtained in all cases. The title compounds [Fe(ox)(bpy)] (I), [Co(ox)(bpy)] (II), [Ni(ox)(bpy)] (III), [Zn(ox)(bpy)] (IV) represent first network structure constructed by bridging oxalate 4,4'-bpy mixed ligands. I−IV are isostructural belong to...

By controlling stoichiometry, three Copper(I) containing coordination polymers [Cu2Cl2(bpy)] (I), [Cu2Br2(bpy)] (II), and [CuBr(bpy)] (III) (bpy = 4,4'-bipyridine) have been synthesized in superheated water at 170 °C. The crystal structures of I II are two-dimensional networks composed Cu2X2 double chains bridged by 4,4'-bpy molecules through the nitrogen sites. structure III is a three-dimensional interpenetrating network constructed concatenated 2D sheets. TGA studies indicate that these...

Reactions of CuX2 (X = Cl, Br) and 2,2‘-dipyridylamine (dpa) in superheated water (170 °C) led to a chemical rearrangement dpa dpiz (dpiz dipyrido[1,2-a:2‘,3‘-d]imidazole C10H7N3) new Cu(I)-based coordination polymers (CuX)2(dpiz) (CuX)3(dpiz). The crystal structures [(CuCl)2(C10H7N3)] (I) [(CuBr)3(C10H7N3)] (II) were reported. two are built upon common structural motif Cu2X4(C10H7N3).

A simultaneous reduction of copper(II) to copper(I) by pyridinecarboxylate and the substitution carboxylato groups iodo nucleophiles in a self-assembly process under hydrothermal conditions afforded new iodine-inclusion coordination polymer [CuI(C5H3NI2)*1/2I2] 1. The synthetic studies produced supramolecular compound [IC5H3NCOOH] 2 revealed that catalytic properties copper ions redox reactions are attractive. In this work, a new energetic coordination polymer (ECP), [Cu(HBTI)(H2O)]n (1) (H3BTI = 4,5-bistetrazole-imidazole), was synthesized by hydrothermal method. Due to the existence of water molecules in 1, however, its energy density limited, which led insufficient detonation performance. To further improve performance, [Cu(H2BTI)(NO3)]n (2) then obtained substituting coordinated molecule 1 with nitrate through substitution reaction under acidic conditions. The structures two ECPs were...
