This paper focuses on the associations between leadership styles and employee innovative behaviour. We studied implementation of an ambitious innovation strategy in a large Danish municipality examined how transformational transactional relate to combined data from two sources rating immediate supervisors The findings suggest that one component leadership, namely verbal rewards, are positively associated with interaction shows behaviour is most likely when leader combines rewards.
In situ deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) has been applied to investigate n-type silicon implanted with protons at low temperatures. Two DLTS signals, labeled ${E3}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ and ${E3}^{\ensuremath{''}},$ originate from hydrogen-related donor centers. The electron emission rates of the donors are similar two signals discernible only because they form anneal differently. silicon, ${E3}^{\ensuremath{''}}$ centers transform into negatively charged \ensuremath{\sim}100 K...
Abstract Management decisions are considered important for the performance of public organizations, but how does information about influence management decision‐making? Developed from Simon's notion bounded rationality, behavioral model performance‐based learning suggests that managers adjust their understanding organizational problems, search information, and consider initiating change when organization performs below aspirations. In this paper, we offer experimental evidence affects...
Abstract This study examines whether performance information affects the political agenda. I offer and test two hypotheses on in politics—the attention‐allocation hypothesis, suggesting that politicians leverage data to devote attention problems service delivery, politicization stating concerns alter elected officials focus information. examine by gathering administrative pupils' standardized scores combined with more than 6000 min of meetings Danish municipal school committees, which...
Field experiments have great potential for examining causes and effects in public management research. However, field pose unique challenges, including developing maintaining support from managers organizations. We offer a guide to the design, planning, implementation of collaborative scholars looking move initial interest action. Focusing on five key phases research process, we offer, one place, practical critical discussion benefits drawbacks co-producing with practice. Recent examples...
Abstract Political superiors bestow legitimacy on decisions when delegating authority to agencies. Yet, research convincingly demonstrates that the delegation of agencies does not guarantee depoliticized decisions. political principals with intent signaling depoliticization may limit agency discretion by invoking a formalization strategy : where principal details what constitutes legitimate decision. The argument this study is falls short in achieving depoliticization, because have...
Does the selection of aggressive leaders within police contribute to overpolicing? Contrary prevailing assumptions, I argue that officers follow directions from leaders, causing adoption overpolicing as a strategic choice. Leveraging unique dataset comprising commanding officers’ histories aggression and precinct outcomes New York Police Department, employ first-difference models analyze impact on behavior. In line with theoretical prediction, find history substantiated misconduct...
There is an increasing utilization of multiple sensor fusion in many disciplines, but a general systematic formulation has not been well developed. An attempt made to provide guideline applying data techniques practical problem, the target identification (ID) attribute measurements. Formation consensus function first presented, and followed by construction hierarchical probabilistic network for computing joint probability density function. ID method described then integrated into generalized...
