AbstractIn the current work, quadratic mathematical models at a 95% confidence level were developed to predict optimum value of output responses such as tensile strength, microhardness, and % strain SiC particles-based friction stir welded composite joints AA6061 AA7075. Tool rotating speed, transverse volume percentage particles considered processing variables multi-optimize using desirability function in Response surface methodology. ANOVA analysis was carried out confirm validity adequacy...

There is no signature of the trap filled limit voltage (VTFL) in J-V characteristics a sample containing exponentially distributed traps. We show that VTFL and at which V2 dependence sets (VMott) can be determined accurately. These voltages are independent energy distributions traps depend strongly on density Hb. Contrary to literature results, it turns out significantly smaller than VMott. In specific case with Hb=1.6×1018cm−3 for 5% accuracy current value VMott about 400V whereas 13.5V....

The usual electrical methods of determining thermal conductivities either cannot be used at high temperatures or their use is restricted to substances like carbon graphite which satisfy certain special requirements. It shown that the observed temperature distribution along a metal filament electrically heated in vacuum can for determination conductivity temperatures. near centre short filament, known parabolic, regions slightly removed from long logarithmic, are particularly suitable this...

Friction stir welding is an efficient joining process for light metal alloys, offering benefits such as high joint efficiency and reduced grain sizes. This work to investigate the parameters that can improve quality reduce brittle intermetallic compounds, including Al 3 Mg 2 (β) 12 17 (γ) in welded region. It was perceived influenced morphological characteristics input heat, thereby affecting materialization of compounds. The primary diffraction peaks both were present all joints. Two...

Raman spectroscopy using a laser microprobe (also called micro-Raman) is becoming more widely used to study stress distribution in solids, particularly micro-electronic device structures, because of its potential for high spatial resolution. Typically the diameter focused beam 1 µm but penetration depth can vary from tens nanometres several millimetres and thus samples potentially large volume strained structure. Each point within this scatters light with wavenumber characteristic local at...

In an organic bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) solar cell there is a constant electric field (Vbi − V)/d (where Vbi the built-in voltage, V applied voltage and d sample thickness) in active layer. Current–voltage (J–V) characteristics of BHJ based on blend poly(3-hexylethiophene) (P3HT) phenyl [6,6] C60 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) have been modelled by solving drift diffusion equations taking into account field. We fabricated cells measured their J–V characteristics. A comparison observed with...
