The influence of crystallite size on the adsorption reactivity phosphate 2-line to 6-line ferrihydrites was investigated by combining experiments, structure and surface analysis, spectroscopic analysis. X-ray diffraction (XRD) transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that ferrihydrite samples possessed a similar fundamental with varying from 1.6 4.4 nm. N2 freeze-dried revealed specific area (SSABET) decreased 427 234 m(2) g(-1) increasing micropore volume (Vmicro) 0.137 0.079 cm(3)...

Abstract The shielding protection given by self‐prepared porous hollow silica nanoparticles (PHSN) to pesticides from degradation UV light was investigated using avermectin as a model pesticide. It demonstrated that PHSN carriers with shell thickness of ∼15 nm and pore diameter 4–5 have an encapsulation capacity 625 g kg −1 for supercritical fluid loading method. exhibited remarkable UV‐shielding properties avermectin. This affected the intensity light, pH temperature release medium. Rises...

The adsorption-desorption behavior of phosphate on ferrihydrite, goethite, and hematite underlying mechanisms were comparatively investigated with batch kinetics, solution equilibrium, mineral characterization. adsorption kinetics for all Fe (hydr)oxides are described by a fast initial followed slow reaction, both which comply pseudo first-order kinetics. Ferrihydrite shows higher amount adsorbed OH− release, faster an extra long diffusion reaction. Analysis release reveals that the process...

We report the first intermolecular NHC-catalyzed hydroacylation of electron-neutral olefins. Treatment aromatic aldehydes with cyclopropenes under mild conditions affords valuable acylcyclopropanes in moderate to high yields an excellent level diastereocontrol. Preliminary mechanistic studies suggest that product formation occurs via a concerted syn pathway.

Binding of lead (Pb) to soil fulvic acid (JGFA), humic acids (JGHA, JLHA), and lignite-based (PAHA) was investigated through binding isotherms XAFS. Pb substances (HS) increased with increasing pH decreasing ionic strength. The NICA-Donnan model described the HS satisfactorily. comparison parameters showed substantial differences in median affinity constants among JGFA, PAHA, HAs. Milne's "generic" did not provide an adequate prediction for samples. generic HAs improved significantly by...

Birnessite, a phyllomanganate and the most common type of Mn oxide, affects fate transport numerous contaminants nutrients in nature. Birnessite exhibits hexagonal (HexLayBir) or orthogonal (OrthLayBir) layer symmetry. The two types birnessite contain contrasting content vacancies Mn(III), accordingly have different sorption oxidation abilities. OrthLayBir can transform to HexLayBir, but it is still vaguely understood if how reverse transformation occurs. Here, we show that HexLayBir (e.g.,...

Inositol hexakisphosphates are the most abundant organic phosphates (OPs) in soils and sediments. Adsorption, desorption, precipitation reactions at environmental interfaces govern reactivity, speciation, mobility, bioavailability of inositol terrestrial aquatic environments. However, surface complexation on soil minerals have not been well understood. Here we investigate complexation-precipitation process mechanism myo-inositol hexakisphosphate (IHP, phytate) amorphous aluminum hydroxide...

Cadmium (Cd) isotopes have great potential for understanding Cd geochemical cycling in soil and aquatic systems. Iron (oxyhydr)oxides can sequester via adsorption isomorphous substitution, but how these interactions affect isotope fractionation remains unknown. Here, we show that preferentially enriches lighter on iron (oxyhydr)oxide surfaces through equilibrium fractionation, with a similar magnitude (Δ114/110Cdsolid-solution) goethite (Goe) (-0.51 ± 0.04‰), hematite (Hem) (-0.54 0.10‰),...

To achieve low regeneration energy consumption and viscosity, a novel amino-functionalized ionic liquid [TEPAH][2-MI] combined with organic solvents has been proposed for CO2 capture in this work. The results demonstrated that the absorption loading of [TEPAH][2-MI]/N-propanol (NPA)/ethylene glycol (EG) was 1.72 mol·mol–1 (28 wt %, 257 g·L–1), which much higher than monoethanolamine/water, efficiency maintained at 90.7% after fifth cycle. viscosities solution were only 3.66 7.65 mPa·s before...

The antiobesity molecular mechanisms of mulberry leave components were analyzed based on intestinal micro-ecology and metabolomics. An obesity model was established by feeding rats with a high-calorie diet. Rats divided into seven groups: the control (MC), positive (PC), leaf powder (MLP), fiber (MLF), polyphenols (MLPS), mixture (MLM), normal (NC), fed daily for 6 consecutive weeks. results demonstrated that MLM group had best efficiency weight loss, indicating synergistic interactions...
