Computer vision has shown potential for assisting post-earthquake inspection of buildings through automatic damage detection in images. However, assessing the safety an earthquake-damaged building requires considering this context its global impact on structural system. Thus, must consider expected progression associated component and component's contribution to system performance. To address issue, a digital twin framework is proposed evaluation that integrates unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)...

${\mathrm{Co}}^{58}$ decays not only to the first but also second excited state of ${\mathrm{Fe}}^{58}$. Both these states in ${\mathrm{Fe}}^{58}$ possess spin 2, even parity, and transition between them is a mixture $E2$ $M1$, with mixing ratio $\ensuremath{\delta}(\frac{E2}{M1})=+2.2\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.3$. After a major earthquake, rapid community recovery is conditional on ensuring buildings are safe to reoccupy. Prior studies have developed statistical and machine learning-based classifiers characterize building’s collapse capacity resist an aftershock given mainshock responses of the building. However, for safety assessment, such method must be coupled with automated inspection methodology collect damage information. Furthermore, probabilistic models expected building performance updated...

Locks and dams facilitate the transportation of billions dollars in goods through inland waterways annually. Miter gates are lock components that supported by steel anchorage frames embedded concrete wall. In US, many these anchorages have been subjected to over 80 years cyclic loads. The typical analysis approach for treats frame as a freestanding truss, ignoring embedding concrete. This predicts some may imminently fail fatigue. Thus, there is push excavate replace at cost nearly $10...

Electrical lines are critical infrastructure components. Line failures can cause catastrophic wildfires resulting in immeasurable damage to life and property. This paper discusses the implementation of an electrical management model that tracks component degradation over time incorporates inspection monitoring data update model; then identifies components with highest risk failure direct maintenance operations estimate long-term line performance. The capacity structures is represented...
