Hydrogen is well known to embrittle high-strength steels and impair their corrosion resistance. One of the most attractive methods mitigate hydrogen embrittlement employs nanoprecipitates, which are widely used for strengthening, trap diffuse from enriching at vulnerable locations within materials. However, atomic origin hydrogen-trapping remains elusive, especially in incoherent nanoprecipitates. Here, by combining in-situ scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy aberration-corrected...
308L welding duplex stainless steel has been irradiated at 360 °C with 2 MeV protons, corresponding to a dose of 3 dpa the maximum depth 20 μm. Microhardness δ-ferrite and austenite phases was studied before after proton irradiation using in situ nanomechanical test system (ISNTS). The locations for indentations placement were obtained by scanning probe microscopy from ISNTS. hardness had close relationship vacancy distribution Stopping Range Ions Matter (SRIM) Monte Carlo simulation code....
The specific heat capacity, thermal expansion coefficient and latent of phase change in bearing steel GCr15SiMn the spheroidized annealed state from room temperature to 1273 K were measured, effect heating rate on curve was studied. results indicate that capacity follow a linear relationship with temperature. Good agreement (with an accuracy much closer 1 square correlation factor third-order regression equation) between experimental calculated values found. rising rates can delay occurrence...
