Leukocyte adhesion to the vasculature is mediated by E-, P-, and L-selectins. Para confirmar la presencia de avispa polinizadora Ficus religiosa en República Dominicana, se recolectaron cinco siconos cuatro árboles ubicados igual número localidades ciudad Santo Domingo. En todos encontró Platyscapa quadraticeps Mayr, 1885. Este hallazgo constituye el primer registro una especie introducida familia Agaonidae para Dominicana y incrementa a tres géneros especies diversidad conocida esta Hispaniola.
