Adsorption isotherms of disperse dyes were measured and the surfaces dyed polyurethane, cellulose diacetate polylactic acid fibres observed using a scanning electron microscope compared. Obvious crystal growth occurred on surface polyurethane fibres. The maximum dye uptake degree varied greatly with type. Factors such as affinity for fibre, crystallisation properties solubility in dyebath affect sorbed state fibre surface. A mechanism is proposed formation during dyeing dyes.

Abstract In this study, ultrasound energy was applied to assist the alkali hydrolysis of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fabric, and then, results were compared with those mechanical oscillating method, which used as control. The effects various factors such sodium hydroxide concentration, dosage dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (DDBAC), frequency on weight loss PET fabrics systematically investigated. surface appearance microstructures treated fibers different methods analyzed...

Using two series of monoazo disperse dyes, the relationships between molecular structure dye and its dyeing properties, such as adsorption behaviour, fastness properties distribution on polyurethane–polyester blends, were thoroughly investigated. Correlation analysis experiment data revealed that partition coefficient octanol water ( C Log P ) is main factor affecting sorption. A greater level tends to have a isotherm better rubbing washing polyurethane fibre, well ratio components blend....

A polyimide fabric was treated with sodium hydroxide to improve its dyeing property. The X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis showed that carboxyl groups were introduced onto the fibre surface after an alkali treatment. mean zeta potentials 7.19 mV for original sample and –12.1 mv sample. morphology measured using atomic force microscopy scanning electron indicated presence of a very rough structure alkali‐treated higher equilibrium exhaustion than untreated did. adsorption isotherms...

Abstract To reduce pollutant emission during dyeing process with disperse dyes, novel dyes containing polyethylene oxide moieties were synthesized. The amphiphilic PEG 400 was engaged in nucleophile substitution prepared N‐ethyl‐N‐phenylglycinoyl chloride to give coupling component oxide. Diazonium salts reacted synthesized obtain aimed eco‐friendly dyes. Fourier transform infrared and 1 H‐nuclear magnetic resonance method used manifest structures of their intermediates. These applied on...

Abstract A new group of azo disperse dyes prepared by the Ugi four‐component reaction were used to dye polyurethane fibres. It was found that all showed excellent fastness properties. One selected investigate adsorption properties on fibres, including dyeing rate, isotherm, surface state, colour characteristics and fastness. The results compared with those CI Disperse Orange 3, which has same parent structure as dye. indicated a lower rate solubility but higher affinity capacity than...
