The magnetic structure and magnetization dynamics of systems plane frustrated Ising chain lattices are reviewed for three groups compounds: , . available experimental data analyzed compared in detail. It is shown that a high-temperature phase on triangle lattice normally universally partially disordered antiferromagnetic (PDA) structure. diversity low-temperature phases results from weak interactions lift the degeneracy 2D model lattice. Mean-field models, Monte Carlo simulation static...
Due to a ferromagnetic in-chain coupling between Co$^{3+}$ ions at trigonal sites, chains Co$_2$O$_6$ are considered as large rigid spin moments. The antiferromagnetic Ising model on the triangular lattice is applied describe an interchain ordering. An evolution of metastable states in sweeping magnetic field investigated by single-flip technique. At first approximation two steps magnetization curve and plateau 1/3 saturation found. Four determined high-order approximations agreement with...
Two theorems on electron states in helimagnets are proved. They reveal a Kramers-like degeneracy helical magnetic field. Since commensurate system is transitionally invariant with two multiple periods (ordinary translations and generalized ones rotations), the band structure turns out to be topologically nontrivial. Together degeneracy, this gives an unusual spin of bands. A two-dimensional model nearly free electrons proposed describe conductive hexagonal palladium layers under effective...
The magnetization dynamics of the triangular lattice Ising spin chains is investigated in framework a two-dimensional model. rigid are assumed to interact with nearest-neighboring chains, an external magnetic field, and heat reservoir that causes change their states randomly time. A probability single spin-flip process Glauber-type form. This technique allows describing properly steps curves observed ${\text{Ca}}_{3}{\text{Co}}_{2}{\text{O}}_{6}$ dependence on magnetic-field sweep rate...
We report on magnetospectroscopy of HgTe quantum wells in magnetic fields up to 45 T a temperature range from 4.2 185 K. observe intra- and inter-band transitions zero-mode Landau levels, which split the bottom conduction upper valence sub-bands merge under applied field. To describe experimental results, realistic temperature-dependent calculations levels have been performed. show that although our samples are topological insulators at low temperatures only, signature such phase persists...
The history of the achievements All-Russian Research Institute Experimental Physics (VNIIEF in Russ. abbr. )i n field ultrahigh magnetic (UHMF) generation and applications fundamental physical studies begins 1952, when Andrey D Sakharov put forward idea cumulation as one possible methods for achieving a controlled thermonuclear reaction [1]. He also proposed two types magnetocumulative generators UHMFs (MC-1) energy (MC-2) [1, 2]. In first them, special device produces initial axial flux...
A response of a triangular spin-chain system to step variation an external magnetic field is investigated in the framework 2D and 3D Glauber dynamics. It shown that unusual relaxation process observed experimentally at intermediate fields Ca${}_{3}$Co${}_{2}$O${}_{6}$ related growth domain size transition monodomain structure. Two different types walls give rise opposite signs relaxation. Slow wall motion low temperatures also causes second time revealed earlier alternating current (AC)...
A transformation of the low-temperature magnetic structure governed by 2D Ising model to high-temperature honeycomb in frustrated spin-chain compound Ca3Co2O6 is investigated. It shown that crossover between two structures at 12 K arises from entropy accumulated disordered chains. This interpretation an agreement with experimental data. General rules for phase diagram chain compounds are formulated.
The paper sums up a theoretical and experimental investigation of the influence spin–orbit coupling in W(110) on spin structure electronic states deposited Au Cu monolayers. Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy reveals that case monolayers split bands are formed surface-projected gap W(110). Spin resolution shows these polarized that, therefore, splitting is Rashba type. evolve from hybridization W 5d, 6p-derived with s, p metal. Interaction shifts original 5d-derived edges toward...
The ground state of a Cr trimer supported on the Au(111) surface is investigated by means variational approach to Coqblin-Schrieffer Hamiltonian. temperature Kondo-resonance formation (T(K)) for equilateral trimers increases drastically as compared T(K) single adatom. Kondo proves be very sensitive geometry and small shift any atom from symmetrical position leads rapid decrease in T(K). These results are good agreement with recent observations response antiferromagnetic chromium [T....
The nature of a transition from two- to three-dimensional charge order (2D-CO$\ensuremath{\rightarrow}$3D-CO) in the multiferroic material LuFe${}_{2}$O${}_{4}$ is discussed. It shown that high-temperature ordered phase Ising model with antiferromagnetic or antiferroelectric (AF) interactions on triangular bilayer (W layer) dimer partially disordered AF (DPDA) state, which generalization well-known structure for lattice. DPDA state stable against variation interaction parameters wide range....
