This study investigates a group of university teachers' beliefs and practice in using English as medium instruction (EMI) China. This brief article reports on a professional development programme aiming to provide training and support EMI teachers in university China. Drawing interview data with five participants, the findings show that improved teachers' self-efficacy by guiding think about nature of its role content learning, providing modelling microteaching practice learning community.
