The effect of Cr(VI) and bisphenol A (BPA) on U(VI) photoreduction by C3N4 photocatalyst was demonstrated the batch experiments, electron spin resonance (ESR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), absorption near edge structure (XANES), extended fine (EXAFS) techniques. experiments manifested that BPA enhanced photocatalytic activity for photoreduction, whereas significantly diminished with increased pH from 4.0 to 8.0. According radical scavengers ESR analysis, photoreduced U(IV)...

With the rapid development of industry, heavy metal pollution has become a potential hazard to public health and ecological system. Herein, molybdenum disulfide coated Mg/Al layered double hydroxide composites (LDHs@MoS2) were prepared via simple hydrothermal method applied for adsorption Cr(VI) from water solution. The removal capacity on LDHs@MoS2 reached 76.3 mg/g at pH = 5.0, process relied ionic strength pH. results confirmed that uptake followed spontaneous endothermic process. In...

Developing iron-based catalysts with superior activity and stability is a long-term goal for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation in advanced oxidation processes. Combining the confined interlayer growth strategy melt infiltration under dry-chemical conditions, we successfully synthesized ultrathin 2D Fe3O4 nanosheets monolayer thickness of about 1 nm. Atomic force microscopy, CS-corrected high-resolution transmission electron X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, absorption fine structure, etc....

Photothermal catalysis is extremely promising for the removal of various indoor pollutants owing to its photothermal synergistic effect, while low light utilization efficiency and unclear catalytic mechanism hinder practical applications. Here, nitrogen atoms are introduced, Pt nanoparticles loaded on TiO2 construct Pt/N-TiO2-H2, which exhibits 3.5-fold higher toluene conversion rate than pure TiO2. Compared both photocatalytic thermocatalytic processes, Pt/N-TiO2-H2 exhibited remarkable...

A method for green synthesis of sulfur, nitrogen co-doped photoluminescence carbon dots (S,N/CDs) originating from two natural biomass was proposed. By simple hydrothermal heating bean pod and onion, blue emission CDs were prepared. Ag+ can effectively quench the as-prepared S,N/CDs. Under optimized conditions, linear range established detection 0.1-25 μM, limit based on 3S/N 37 nM. More interestingly, addition induce an evident color change S,N/CDs yellow to brown under sunlight. The...
