The natural flavonoid fisetin (FS) has shown anticancer properties but its in-vivo administration remains challenging due to poor aqueous solubility. aim of the study was develop FS loaded pluronic127 (PF)-folic acid (FA) conjugated micelles (FS-PF-FA) by way increasing solubility, bioavailability and active targetability shall increase therapeutic efficacy. FA-conjugated PF prepared carbodiimide crosslinker chemistry. FS-PF-FA were thin-film hydration method evaluated in comparison with...

Human carbonic anhydrases (CA, EC, 4.2.1.1) IX and XII are overexpressed in cancer cells as adaptive response to hypoxia acidic conditions characteristic of many tumors. In addition, facilitates the activity specific oxido-reductases that may be exploited selectively activate bioreductive prodrugs. Here, new selective CA IX/XII inhibitors, analogues antitumor phase II drug SLC-0111 described, namely ureido-substituted benzenesulfonamides appended with a nitro-aromatic moiety yield an...

The immune checkpoint protein, Lymphocyte activation gene-3 (LAG3), binds Major Histocompatibility Complex Class II (MHC-II) and suppresses T cell activation. Despite the recent FDA approval of a LAG3 inhibitor for treatment melanoma, how engages MHC-II on surface remains poorly understood. Here, we determine 3.84 Å-resolution structure mouse bound to molecule I-A

Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) is considered a target for therapeutic intervention in solid tumors. In this study, the efficacy of inhibitor, 4-(3-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-oxoimidazolidin-1-yl)benzenesulfonamide (SLC-149), evaluated on CAIX and CAIX-mimic. We show that SLC-149 better inhibitor than acetazolamide against CAIX. Binding thermally stabilizes CAIX-mimic at lower concentrations compared to CAII. Structural examinations bound CAII explain binding preferences. cell culture, more effective...

Prognosis and survival rates for breast cancer vary greatly depending on the stage of patient. Instead a step-by-step approach using multiple investigations, we can get all information about metastatic load disease in PET-CT imaging by one single investigation. There is also correlation between prognosis, FDG uptake, molecular subtype (Luminal A, Luminal B, Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) positive Triple-negative). Pre-treatment baseline scan was done 156 unilateral early...

Meningiomas are generally slow growing benign tumors attached to the dura mater and composed of neoplastic meningothelial cells. They form 24-30% primary intracranial tumors. Most meningiomas benign. Plaque Meningioma is defined by a sheet-like lesion that infiltrates sometimes invades bone. A case presented in this paper with radiological evidence thick meningeal enhancement right tentorium. Malignancy Extra cranial soft tissue masses were excluded. The patient was treated constitutional...

Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor is a rare group of neoplasms showing mixture spindle-shaped myofibroblasts or fibroblasts and variable amount inflammatory cells (eosinophils, plasma cells, lymphocytes). They are not usually included in the differential diagnosis nodules masses because their rarity, therefore, remaining an underdiagnosed entity. We report one such case 3-year-old female.

Histiocytosis is a group of rare diseases with vast imaging findings, few which are distinctive and characteristic that help to differentiate each one them. Therefore, typical appearances must be recognized include the possibility in differential diagnosis, whenever considered pertinent. Hereby, we present such unique case histiocytosis 26-year-old female, involved intertwined overlapping features radiological findings.
