Video anomaly detection is commonly used in many applications, such as security surveillance, and very challenging. A majority of recent video approaches utilize deep reconstruction models, but their performance often suboptimal because insufficient error differences between normal abnormal frames practice. Meanwhile, frame prediction-based methods have shown promising performance. In this article, we propose a novel robust unsupervised method by prediction with proper design which more line...

Carbon nanotube (CNT) modification of microelectrodes can result in increased sensitivity without compromising time response. However, dip coating CNTs is not very reproducible and the tend to lay flat on electrode surface which limits access electroactive sites ends. In this study, aligned CNT forests were formed using a chemical self-assembly method, resulted more exposed ends analyte. Shortened, carboxylic acid functionalized single-walled assembled from dimethylformamide (DMF) suspension...

Recently several ground-breaking RF-based motion-recognition systems were proposed to detect and/or recognize macro/micro human movements. These often suffer from various interferences caused by multiple-users moving simultaneously, resulting in extremely low recognition accuracy. To tackle this challenge, we propose a novel system, called Motion-Fi, which marries battery-free wireless backscattering and device-free sensing. Motion-Fi is an accurate, interference tolerable counts repetitive...

Real-time handwriting tracking is important for many emerging applications such as Artificial Intelligence assisted education and healthcare. Existing movement systems, including those based on vision, ultrasound or wireless technologies, fail to offer high accuracy, no learning/training/calibration process, low latency, cost easy deploy at the same time. In this work, we design evaluate a backscattering system, called MilliBack, that satisfies all these requirements. At heart of MilliBack...

Protein splicing is a unique post-translational process in which an intein excises itself from precursor with the concomitant ligation of flanking sequences. The binding zinc to inhibits protein reversibly and EDTA relieves inhibition. Copper was found inhibit trans splicing; however, recovery required both TCEP, suggesting different inhibition mechanism for copper compared zinc.
