Adaptive implementation of an optimal time-varying filter (TVF) for evoked potential (EP) estimation is addressed here. A data-adaptive scheme used, which converges asymptotically to the TVF solution. Two basic adaptive TVF's (ATVF's) are first introduced, namely least mean square (LMS) ATVF and recursive least-squares (RLS) ATVF. The latter much faster than former. Since ATVF's usually require a relatively large set response trials get meaningful solution, reduced-order further presented...

A peak component latency-corrected average (PC-LCA) method consisting of three steps is presented for estimating the evoked potentials (EP) in human brain. The present PC-LCA essentially an alternative version original LCA developed by McGillem et al. It first uses a time-varying adaptive filter as preprocessor to suppress ongoing EEG and enhance EP. Then, statistics mean latencies amplitudes EP components are estimated detection alignment procedure. final waveform estimate obtained...

Abstract The fire performance of several types wood-aluminum composites (WAC) was analyzed by the small vertical furnace test. time needed to reach temperature 139°C/181°C ( T ) and linear char rate 300°C L were obtained evaluating WAC. values ranged from 23.6 44.8 min. presence position aluminum alloy sheet remarkably affected In addition an initial delay 19 min, also increased when located on surface. However, times for only slightly in middle. observed surface reduced more than 50% wood...

The Karman-Howarth-Monin-Hill (KHMH) equation has been widely applied to scale-by-scale turbulent energy cascade studies in recent years, however, the forms and interpretations are not consistent. present work generalizes considering two different spatio-temporal points reformulate KHMH based on Reynolds decomposition phase averaging. unaveraged form averaged detailed interpreted. Then assumptions of homogeneity isotropy included obtain special for homogeneous flows isotropic flows.

Abstract The trend to conduct volumetric particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) experiments with ever-increasing volumes, at a given density, poses increasing challenges on the design of such in terms power laser source and image analysis. These challenges, one hand, require reliable model estimate current signal from pixel complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) detector due Mie scattering particle. On other they also for estimating limiting factors upon resolution, where large amount...

This paper presents the volumetric velocity measurement method of small seeding tracer with diameter 5µm ∼ 100µm for volumes ≥ 500cm3. The size is between helium-filled soap bubbles (HFSB) and di-ethyl-hexyl-sebacic acid ester(DEHS) droplets. targeted volume dimension equivalent to HFSB, which will give a higher resolution turbulence study. relations particle size, imaging light intensity are formulated. estimation results computed setup design. Finally, methodology demonstrated measurements...

In hot-stamping production line of high-strength steel, when high-temperature sheet gets out furnace, it needs to be delivered as soon possible press for stamping, reduce high temperature oxidation and plasticity reduction caused by drop, improve the efficiency line. There is a good solution it, making furnace unloading robot feeding do synergic movement, completing handover during it.This paper, based on experiment two axes analyses feasibility significance that realizing movement multi manipulator.

Developments in theoretical investigations and experimental techniques are reaching a level of maturity for which it is finally becoming possible to answer some the most pressing questions turbulence. The prevailing classical theories all have their strengths drawbacks based on respective principal assumptions. To better understand implications these assumptions, we developed theoryintensive strategy. For purposes, laboratory has been established at Department Mechanical Engineering,...

With the evolution of graphics processing units (GPUs) in floating point operations and programmability, GPU has increasingly become powerful cost-efficient computing architectures, its range application expanded tremendously, especially area computational simulation. In this article, Fourier method combined with acceleration techniques is applied to simulate large-scale transient temperature field cooling control. Although it possible perform simulation on a personal computer through...
