Tannins are found in most of the species throughout plant kingdom, where their functions to protect against predation and might help regulating growth. There two major groups tannins, i.e., hydrolyzable condensed tannins. The tannins being used as important effective chemicals for tanning animal hides leather processing industry since beginning industry. Additionally, have been using mineral absorption protein precipitation purposes 1960s. These also iron gall ink production, adhesive...

This study deals with the fabrication of composite matrix from saw dust (SD) and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) at different ratio (w/w) by flat-pressed method. The wood plastic composites (WPCs) were made a thickness 6 mm after mixing PET in rotary type blender followed flat press process. Physical i.e., density, moisture content (MC), water absorption (WA) swelling (TS), mechanical properties Modulus Elasticity (MOE) Rupture (MOR) assessed as function ratios according to ASTM...

Bilayer hybrid composites fabricated by hand lay-up technique impregnating oil palm empty fruit bunch and jute fibre mats with epoxy resin cured at 100℃ for 1 h followed post curing 105℃. were prepared varying the relative weight fraction of two fibres. The mechanical, morphological thermal properties palm/jute bilayer carried out. When loading is increased in composites, flexural strength modulus will be higher. hybridization fibres composite decreased impact composites. Analysis variance...

In the present study, a successful attempt has been made on enhancing properties of hybrid kenaf/coconut fibers reinforced vinyl ester composites by incorporating nanofillers obtained from coconut shell. Coconut shells were grinded followed 30 h high energy ball milling for production nanoparticles. Particle size analyzer demonstrated that 90% nanoparticles ranged between 15–140 nm. Furthermore, it was observed incorporation shell into composite increased water absorption capacity. Moreover,...

Cellulose nanofibers (CNF) were isolated from Gigantochloa scortechinii bamboo fibers using sulphuric acid hydrolysis. This method was compared with pulping and bleaching process for fiber. Scanning electron microscopy, transmission Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis used to determine the properties of CNF. Structural by FT-IR showed that lignin hemicelluloses effectively removed pulp, bleached fibers, It found CNF exhibited uniform smooth...
