Patients with recurrent superficial bladder tumors have been treated by vesical and intradermal administration of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin. The pattern recurrence in 9 patients has altered favorably. Although the findings are still preliminary they appear to hold promise a new therapeutic approach treatment group neoplasms for which effective therapy is lacking.
Demographic data clearly demonstrate that the percentage of population in older age group is increasing. Androgen deficiency aging male has become a topic increasing interest and debate throughout world. Cross-sectional longitudinal indicate testosterone falls progressively with significant men over 60 years have serum levels are below lower limits young adult (age 20–30 years) (1–4). We review how the bacillus Calmette-Guerin vaccine evolved to become standard therapy for superficial bladder cancer. We reviewed historical literature describing origin of as an anticancer agent and its singular success most effective immunotherapy used against a human neoplasm. The association between tuberculosis cancer, demonstration that invoked immunological reactivity, inhibiting tumor growth in experimental animal models, led clinical trials showing intravesical eradicated prevented...
We compared hexaminolevulinate fluorescence cystoscopy with white light for detecting Ta and T1 papillary lesions in patients bladder cancer.A total of 311 known or suspected cancer underwent instillation 50 ml 8 mM HAL 1 hour. The was inspected using cystoscopy, followed by blue (fluorescence) cystoscopy. Papillary were mapped resected histological examination.Noninvasive pTa tumors found 108 196 evaluable (55.1%). In 31 (29%) at least more tumor detected than (p<0.05). Six these had no...
