We report the discovery of KELT J041621-620046, a moderately bright (J$\sim$10.2) M dwarf eclipsing binary system at distance 39$\pm$3 pc. J041621-620046 was first identified as an using observations from Kilodegree Extremely Little Telescope (KELT) survey. The has short orbital period $\sim$1.11 days and consists components with M$_1$ = $0.447^{-0.047}_{+0.052}\,M_\odot$ M$_2$ $0.399^{-0.042}_{+0.046}\,M_\odot$ in nearly circular orbits. radii two stars are R$_1$...

We use ground-based and space-based eclipse measurements for the near-infrared ($JHK\!s$) bands Spitzer 3.6 $\mu$m 4.5 to construct colour-colour colour-magnitude diagrams hot Jupiters. compare results with previous observations of substellar objects find that Jupiters, when corrected their inflated radii, lie near black body line in same region colour magnitude as brown dwarfs, including low gravity dwarfs have been previously suggested exoplanet analogs. theoretical emission spectra...

ABSTRACT Observations of polarization position angle ($\theta$) standards made from 2014 to 2023 with the High Precision Polarimetric Instrument (HIPPI) and other HIPPI-class polarimeters in both hemispheres are used investigate their variability. Multiband data were first thoroughly recalibrate instrument performance by bench-marking against carefully selected literature data. A novel co-ordinate difference matrix (CDM) approach – which combines pairs points was then amalgamate...

Abstract The availability of Magellan radar images Venus on CDROM allows small research groups to engage in planetary physics projects using simple image processing systems. material lends itself short for high school students or Masters students. Our initial investigations the data have evolved into a project which concentrates morphology scale structures terrestrial counterparts. These include studies volcanic cone fields, lava tubes and other collapse features, impact features.
