Based on the coupled-mode theory, temperature and bending sensing properties of cascaded long-and short-period grating (CLBG) are analyzed by using transfer matrix method. Two resonance peaks produced in reflection spectrum CLBG when wavelengths two gratings approximately equal. The shift along longer wavelength as increases, peak reflectivity at decreases monotonically same time. When is bent, increases evenly while remain unchanged. This tells us that can be used to sense simultaneously....

A series of 2D MoS 2 nanosheet films are fabricated on Mo‐coated alumina ceramics using a vacuum electron beam vapor deposition technique. It is found that both the crystallographic orientation and thickness can be controlled well by changing processing conditions. demonstrated deposited has direct effect their microtopographies field emission characteristics. For each film, its performance increases first with an increase in subsequently decreases examined range; best film 15 nm. All...

An all-fiber structure laser based on divided-pulse amplification technology and a hollow core anti-resonant fiber (HC-ARF) is proposed. We numerically investigate the process of in vectorial nonlinear Schrödinger equations. By changing splicing angle HC-ARF, conventional soliton with 703 fs can be divided into two sub-pulses orthogonal polarization states. After compression, are recombined one pulse an identical HC-ARF. The combining efficiency limitations that originate from cross-phase...

Band-stop optical fiber filters based on linear chirped long-period gratings (LPFGs) were investigated. The transmission characteristics of the LPFGs analyzed in detail with transfer matrix method. Linear chirp coefficient had a remarkable influence bandwidth spectra. When was 10 −9 and spectra corresponding to multiple cladding modes superposed, could be expanded >1000 nm . So can used for single-channel broadband band-stop filters, relationships between grating parameters given. is −8 ,...

By using the free-space terahertz (THz) electro-optic (EO) sampling technique, THz waveforms emitted from intrinsic bulk GaAs photoexcited by femtosecond laser pulses under strong bias electric fields up to 300 kV/cm were recorded. The initial acceleration signal in emission waveforms, which are corresponding of electrons bottom Γ-valley, has been found start decreasing with applied field above 50 kV/cm, contrast simple picture electron Γ-valley. This result suggests that effective mass...
