The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence different dietary lipid and fatty acids on nutritional value bioflocs used as a feed, well shrimp performance health. A total 1800 Litopenaeus vannamei juveniles (2.87 ± 0.01 g) were cultured in biofloc technology, with density 200 m−2, fed three isoproteic experimental diets at levels (85 g kg−1, 95 kg−1 105 kg−1); each treatment performed triplicate. After 61 days, no significant difference observed (P > 0.05) among water quality...

Abstract The biosynthesis of long‐chain polyunsaturated fatty acids ( LC ‐ PUFA s, ≥ C 20 ) is reliant on the action desaturase and elongase enzymes, which are encoded by acyl Fad elongation very acid Elovl gene families, respectively. In Metazoa, research investigating distribution evolution these families has been restricted largely to Bilateria. Here, we provide insights into phylogenetic molecular evolutionary histories in Cnidaria, sister phylum Four model cnidarian genomes six...

Objective: To evaluate the association between 4G/5G polymorphism in promoter of plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) gene and deep venous thrombosis (DVT) young people. Methods: Prevalence was investigated using DNA analysis a population 81 consecutive unrelated patients with an objectively documented first episode DVT under 40 years old control group 88 healthy subjects. Results: The frequency genotypes among 0.27 4G/4G, 0.49 0.23 5G/5G, corresponding to 0.52 for 4G allele. In results...

Objective: To evaluate the association between Factor V Leiden (FV R506Q) and prothrombin gene (FII G20210A) mutations deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in young people. Methods: Blood samples were drawn from 199 subjects: 100 healthy controls 99 unselected patients, with an objectively documented first episode of DVT under 40 years old. DNA analysis was performed using polymerase chain reaction. Results: The mean age patient cohort 27 (range 16–40) 68 (68.7%) women. Patient prevalences 20.6%...

Moulting has significant impacts on the physiology and feeding behaviour of crustaceans. It is an essential process for growth, development reproduction in Arthropods; however, little known about influence moulting fatty acid composition expression genes involved biosynthesis. This study investigates three different moult stages (premoult, intermoult postmoult) gene two important organs: hepatopancreas tail muscle. In this selected organs was analysed using a tandem gas chromatography/mass...

Calcitonin has been helpful in the treatment of osteogenesis imperfecta tarda inhibiting bone mineral resorption. The experience with salmon calcitonin early congenita is very limited. Here we report an infant this disorder treated from 3 to 15 months age clinical and radiographic improvement.
