Wastewater remediation by microalgae is an eco-friendly process with no secondary pollution as long the biomass produced reused and allows efficient nutrient recycling. This study was undertaken to evaluate of wastewater green alga Chlorella vulgaris potential these (biomass) produce sustainable biofuel. The results shows that cultivation on has a positive effect removal major inorganic elements form wastewater. Biodiesel can be from vulgaris. used for producing source renewable energy.

Problem statement: Al-Khadoud spring is one of the most important water resources in Al- Hassa Governorate, Saudi Arabia. However, much its biotic information still unknown. This study presented preliminary ecological this aquatic body. The aim research was to study characteristics and planktonic organisms inhibiting its irrigational channels for a period 1 year. Approach: A regular visit monitoring over a year (June 2007 to may 2008). Physico-chemical were determined. Quantitative...

Abstract The use of microalgae to remediate heavy metal-contaminated wastewater has attracted more and interest. In this investigation, the green Chloroidium ellipsoideum Desmodesmus subspicatus were used study copper uptake from nutrient media its effect on algal growth metabolism. C. D. generally decreased with increasing concentrations. There was a decrease in carbohydrate content , but an increase observed by treatment various Low concentrations helped protein decline reported for . By...

Five soil samples were taken from different cultivated sites the North Villages of Al-Hasa. Three algal groups recorded throughout this study, Bacillariophyta, Cyanophyta and Chlorophyta. Fifty-two genera algae identified in all soils sampled during investigation. Out these, 11 belonged to Chlorophyta; 16 belong Bacillariophyta 25 Cyanophyta. Penniate (Nitzschia, Gyrosigma), oscillatorid (Osillatoria, Phormidium, Nostoc Anabaena) coccoid Chlorophyta (Ankistrodesmus falacatus, Chlorella...

Al-Khadoud spring is one of the most important water resources in Al-Hassa Governorate, Saudi Arabia. However, much its biotic information still unknown. This study presented preliminary ecological this aquatic body. Regarding to macrophytes, a total eight species were observed along sites. These include two submerged plants (Potamogeton pectinatus L. and Ceratophyllum demersum L.). The common distributed are Phragmites australis (Cav.) Trimex Steud Cyperus rotundus (L.). On other hand, 20...
