The cathodoluminescence spectrum of ZnSe single crystals grown from the vapor and liquid phases was investigated in range 400–800 nm internal quantum efficiency η measured at T = 77 °K. A correlation found between free-electron line intensity, but there no other luminescence lines. comparison photoluminescence spectra recorded 4.2 °K for zinc selenide samples annealed selenium with original indicated that saturation during annealing increased improved laser characteristics.
