The highly energetic photons of ultraviolet light drive electronic and rovibronic transitions in all molecular species. This radiation is thus a prime tool for strongly selective spectroscopic fingerprinting real-time environmental monitoring if broad spectral coverage, short acquisition times, high resolution are achieved–requirements that mutual competition traditional applications. As an approach with intrinsic potency three aspects, here we introduce dual comb spectroscopy using two...
We introduce a portable dual-comb spectrometer operating in the visible spectral region for atmospheric monitoring of NO 2 , pollution gas major importance. Dual-comb spectroscopy, combining key advantages fast, broadband and accurate measurements, has been established infrared as method investigation gases with kilometer-scale absorption path lengths. With presented centered at 517 nm, we make use strong cross section this region. In combination multi-pass approach through atmosphere,...
Abstract The highly energetic photons of ultraviolet light drive electronic, vibrational and rotational transitions in virtually all atomic or molecular species. This radiation is thus a prime tool for strongly selective spectroscopic fingerprinting real-time environmental monitoring if broad spectral coverage, short acquisition times high resolution can be achieved – requirements that are mutual competition traditional applications. As novel concept with intrinsic potency three aspects,...
Nitrogen dioxide is of major importance to our climate. We achieve a 5 ppb sensitivity with one-minute averaging times and spatial resolution 90 m mobile dual frequency comb reflector setup.
Photoabsorption spectra of neutral potassium clusters in helium nanodroplets are recorded by depletion spectroscopy using a supercontinuum laser source equipped with variable bandpass filter. The results provide insight into the evolution electronic from molecular transitions to localized surface plasmon resonances nanometer-sized clusters. Size selected for ${\mathrm{K}}_{n}$ acquired $n=2--110$. Indications transition molecularlike absorption collective resonance already observed below...
