AIM:To determine whether the elevated vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression produced by transfected cells (VECs) could stimulate angiogenesis of graft islets and exert its effect on function.CONCLUSION: Elevated VEGF production in site islet transplantation stimulates grafts. The accelerated revascularization early stage improve outcome transplantation, enhance survival.
<b>Objective</b>Primary resistance to trastuzumab frequently occurs in human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive (+) breast cancer patients and remains a clinical challenge. Pyrotinib is novel tyrosine kinase inhibitor that has shown efficacy the treatment of HER2+ cancer. However, pyrotinib with primary unknown.
<b>Methods</b>HER2+ cells sensitive or primarily resistant were treated trastuzumab, pyrotinib, combination. Cell proliferation, migration, invasion,...
Medical images have been increased rapidly in digital medicine era, presenting an opportunity for the intervention of artificial intelligence (AI). In order to explore value convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithms endoscopic images, we developed AI-assisted comprehensive analysis system and explored its performance clinical real scenarios.
Abstract Background:Renal transplant lithiasis is a rather unusual disease, and the recurrence of presents challenging situation. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed medical history patient who surferred renal for two times, reviewed relevant literature, summarized characteristics this disease. Results: retrieved 29 studies with an incidence 0.34% to 3.26% lithiasis. The 0.52%, recurrent rate 0.082%. The mean interval after transplantation 33.43±56.70 m.Most patients(28.90%) are...
Objective To explore the compare of complete and incomplete radical debridement for thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis. Methods Data 296 patients with tuberculosis from January 2000 to 2011 were retrospectively analyzed. All divided into two groups according completeness debridement:complete group (group A) B).There 162 cases in A including 86 males 76 females, with an average age 38.74± 17.26 years. There 134 B 73 61 35.64± 18.21 years. All paticnts had undergone anterior debridement, focal graft...
Objective To evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) versus surgical re-resection (SRR) in patients with postoperative recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma (RHCC) within Milan criteria. Methods A literature search was performed to identify comparative studies addressing outcomes both RFA SRR for RHCC criteria.Pooled odds ratios (OR) 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) were calculated using either fixed effects model or random model. Results Six nonrandomized...
Objective Detected Slit homolog 2 (SLIT2) promoter CG sties methylation expression and characteristics in HCC tissues, to explore its clinical significance. Methods Use the total length of primer polymerase chain reaction (PCR) DNA sequencing method for 40 cases carcinoma tissue corresponding normal liver tissue, clear SLIT2 sites changes methylation. Results In sequences from starting -570 bp -550 bp, there have three (21, 22, 23) are significantly higher (75.0%, 72.5% 72.5%)...
Objective To evaluate the impact on long-term survival using elective transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) before liver transplantation (LT) to treat patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Methods A medical literature search was conducted up October 2011 identify comparative studies which evaluated rates, recurrence rates, and disease free survival.Pooled odds ratios (OR) and 95 % confidence intervals (95 CI) were calculated either fixed or random effect model. Results 571...
Objective To investigate the risk factors associated with acute renal failure (ARF)after surgery in patients simple abdominal trauma. Methods A retrospective case-control study was carried out trauma after from January 2003 through May 2008 our hospital. Twenty ARF were set as group and 68 without control group. Clinical data including age, gender, injury type, number of injured organs, blood transfusion volume, intra-abdominal pressure, infection, shock related analyzed by using univariate...
Objective To evaluate intraoporative ultrasonography (IOUS) of liver tumors. Methods In this study, 45 patients with tumors were examined by the IOUS(Logiq 500 scanner a dedicated 5 ~ 7.5 MHz linear-array intraoperative transducer), and results IOUS compared those preoperative (PHILIPS HDI 5000 3.5 convex-array transducer) computed tomography (CT). Results For diameter ≥ 1 cm, detection rate was 100%, which higher than that CT (100% vs 89.80% 97.96%), though there no statistical...
