Neroli essential oil is extracted from the fragrant blossoms of bitter orange tree. It one most widely used floral oils in perfumery. In this study chemical composition and vitro antimicrobial antioxidant activities neroli are investigated. The fresh Citrus aurantium L. Flowers (Neroli oil) cultivated North East Tunisia (Nabeul) were analyzed by GC-FID GC-MS. About 33 compounds identified, representing 99% total oil. Limonene (27.5%) was main component followed (E)-nerolidol (17.5%),...
Abstract A 2 4 complete factorial design has been used to study the technological parameters that are responsible for hydrodistillation process. After an appropriate choice of four critical variables, 16 experiments led a mathematical model as first degree polynomial presenting response function (yield) in relation operating parameters. From retained model, we were able calculate average response, different effects and their interactions. The results showed processing time, condensation flow...
This study was designed to examine for the first time antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of essential oils organic extracts Tunisian Citrus aurantium.Essential extracted by hydrodistillation from peels, leaves flowers were characterized GC-MS.It results in identification three chemotypes: limonene (87,02 %), linalyl acetate (53,76 %) linalool (39,74 respectively, as major compounds.Phytochemical screening methanolic (peels, flowers) lead tannins, flavonoids, polyphenols, sterols,...
Abstract Hydrodistillation of essential oils from leaves myrtle, rosemary, and sour orange was experimentally studied the extraction process modeled. A mass balance carried out over an assumed flat leave particle use Fick's second law diffusion led to transfer equation. Its resolution required adequate boundary initial conditions. The model considered effect main processing parameters on overall oil efficiency as well determination optimum To assess reliability model, yield curves for all...
