This paper is one of a series exploring simple approaches for the estimation lattice energy ionic materials, avoiding elaborate computation. The readily accessible, frequently reported, and easily measurable (requiring only small quantities inorganic material) property density, rho(m), related, as rectilinear function form (rho(m)/M(m))(1/3), to U(POT) where M(m) chemical formula mass. Dependence on cube root particularly advantageous because this considerably lowers effects any experimental...

The role of interface contact between two oxides, CeO2 and TiO2, for the photocatalytic elimination toluene is examined in a series samples with variable quantities ceria. Samples having ceria contents 1 to 10 mol % range improve significantly, exhibiting up 3.5 times activity bare nano-TiO2 catalyst. To interpret behavior, this contribution develops novel spectro-kinetic approach where joined analysis kinetics reaction fate charge charriers merged mathematical modeling light–catalyst...

Heating cis-[PtCl2(Me2COH)2] in molten 2-propanone oxime affords the cationic complex [PtCl(Me2CNOH)3]Cl. This compound reacts with 1 equiv of NaOH to give neutral cis-[PtCl(Me2CNO)(Me2CNOH)2] (1). Further, reaction [PtCl(Me2CNOH)3]Cl 2 AgNO3 and successive addition excess NaSbF6 afford chloride-free [Pt(Me2CNO)(Me2CNOH)3](SbF6). When a solution NaOH, instead NaSbF6, was added mixture, [Pt(Me2CNO)2(Me2CNOH)2]·2H2O (2) isolated. The homoleptic [Pt(Me2CNOH)4]Cl2 (3) prepared both by HCl...

Mössbauer spectra are reported for the cis–trans isomers of SnCl4L2[L =NN-dimethylacetamide (dma), NN-dimethylformamide (dmf), dimethyl sulphoxide (dmso), or tetrahydrothiophen (tht)] and SnBr4(dmf)2. The following octahedral partial quadrupole splitting values were obtained: tht =+0.09, dmso =+0.14, dmf =+0.18, dma =+0.20 mm s–1. A correlation has been found between ν(Sn–Cl)(from i.r. Raman spectra) trans-SnCl4L2.

Abstract 1 H and 119 Sn NMR results indicate that, when Ph 3 SnOH is dissolved in CD 2 Cl , it dehydrates to (Ph Sn) O, only a small amount of remaining equilibrium at room temperature. Abstract By oxidative‐addition of X 2 (X = Cl, Br) to SnF in acetonitrile, monomeric Cl (MeCN) and polymeric or oligomeric Br are obtained. The corrected v CN IR frequencies provide a good indication the Sn–N bond strength. reactions with I presence DMSO, pyridine yield disproportionation products rather than mixed‐halide compounds. That suggests that stability mixedhalide compounds decreases when difference between halides increases. reaction acetonitrile gives rise 4 , provides simple...
