The mechanical performance of concrete is strongly influenced by the geometry and properties its components (namely aggregate, mortar, Interfacial Transitional Zone (ITZ)) from mesoscale viewpoint, analyzing material at that level should be a powerful tool for understanding macroscopic behavior. In this paper, simple highly efficient method proposed constructing realistic mesostructures concrete. A shrinking process based on 3D Voronoi tessellation was employed to generate aggregates with...

A polyaniline/silver nanocomposite was prepared through in situ polymerization and used to determine formaldehyde vapor. The characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission X-ray diffraction. responses of the were much higher than using pure polyaniline. exhibited good linearity versus gas concentration with a reproducible response. limit detection for 25% silver approximately 1.24 ppm.

To explore and compare the failure modes, deformation behaviors, load-bearing capacities of single-edge notched (SEN) beams strengthened with carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) steel bars, static dynamic three-point bending tests on both types concrete have been carried out in this study. During tests, electro-hydraulic servo machine served as a loading device to apply pressure CFRP reinforced (RC) beams. impact experiments, different velocities were imparted by adjusting drop hammer's...

Forming nanocomposites among different metal oxide species may lead to gas sensors with superior sensing properties. In this work, terbium (Tb2O3) was used form composite nanofibers zinc (ZnO) detect nitric (NO) gas. The Tb2O3/ZnO were synthesized through a facile electrospinning and annealing treatment. heterostructure investigated by various techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS, whereas the performance of static testing system. Results showed that nanofiber exhibited excellent NO at 180...

This paper presents the results of ultralow‐cycle fatigue tests for three full‐scale assemblies consisting steel tubes and bolt‐sphere joints, which are widely used in public buildings. Each assembly was tested six times under a varying loading history. The performance investigated considering joint stiffness deformation patterns, hysteretic characteristics, skeleton curves, bearing‐capacity degradation features, cumulative energy dissipation, damage index were obtained analysed. show that...

In the paper, a new method of using rotating magnetic field generated by stator alternative electromotor to polish inner surface tube-type workpieces is proposed; finishing device construction and inverter designed; mechanism analyzed experiments are carried out. Experimental investigations show that filling amount abrasive influences roughness workpiece directly have an optimal value. The higher conductivity is, finer effect is. attraction force particles depends on intensity induction has...

In the case of power signal frequency deviation, traditional discrete Fourier transform (discrete transformation, DFT) is used to realize synchronous phasor measurement, which will cause fence effect and spectrum leakage, seriously reduce accuracy calculation. For this reason, an improved modified DFT algorithm for measurement proposed in paper. Firstly, tracking introduced, calculate fundamental frequency. Then error mechanism non-synchronous sampling analyzed. The functional relation...
