Abstract Zinc (Zn) is considered a promising biodegradable metal for implant applications due to its appropriate degradability and favorable osteogenesis properties. In this work, laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) additive manufacturing was employed fabricate pure Zn with heterogeneous microstructure exceptional strength-ductility synergy. An optimized processing window of LPBF established printing samples relative densities greater than 99% using power range 80 ∼ 90 W scanning speed 900 mm s...

Kinematics analysis of tool-tip in milling process with ultrasonic vibration feed direction was conducted. Ultrasonic assisted (UVAM) aluminium alloy experiments were designed to investigate the morphologies machined surfaces. Research results showed that some regular scaly textures distributed evenly on UVAM surfaces, which are consistent theoretical trajectory. The tribological properties surfaces tested by using UMT-2 friction and wear testing machine. Test enhanced adsorption capacities...

Laser cladding is a recently developed additive manufacturing technique, which widely used in remanufacturing and sustainable fields. However, the surface roughness of laser layer often fails to meet tribological functions assembly requirements. In order improve finish quality cladding, various techniques such as manual polishing, grinding, abrasive blasting, chemical polishing were adopted. these methods have certain disadvantages, secondary positioning polluting environment. remelting an...

This study aimed to optimize machining parameters obtain better surface roughness and remnant depth ratio values under dry turning of NiTi-shape memory alloy (SMA). During the experiments, various were used, including three different cutting speeds vc (105, 144, 200 m/min), feed rates f (0.05, 0.1, 0.15 mm/rev), depths cut ap (0.1, 0.15, 0.2 mm). The effects in experiments investigated on response methodology (RSM) with Box-Behnken design (BBD) using Design Expert 11; how affect quality is...

With the development of equipment manufacturing industry towards direction intelligence, demand for use intelligent materials is increasing, and high-performance shape memory alloy (SMA) products are getting more attention. However, current machining quality can not meet existing requirements. The mechanism surface integrity NiTi SMA needs to be revealed. influence martensitic transformation on microstructure, roughness, hardness, superelasticity was explored. occurrence determined by...

<p>The surface wave dispersion data with azimuthal anisotropy can be used to invert for the wavespeed anisotropy, which provides essential dynamic information about depth-varying deformation of Earth’s interior. In this study, we adopt an rj-MCMC (reversible jump Markov Chain Monte Carlo) technique crustal and upper mantle shear velocity beneath Japan Sea using Rayleigh azimuthally anisotropic phase measurements from Fan et al. (2019). The implements...
