In a prospective randomised trial of argon laser photocoagulation in the management central serous retinopathy, long-term follow-up (6.4 to 12.1 years) revealed no evidence that treatment significantly influenced visual outcome as measured by Snellen chart and Farnsworth-Munsell 100-hue test.
