This research aims at studying the relationships between personality traits and academic achievement among students. Participants were 285 students (191 female 94 male). Relations among self-efficacy, task value, achievement goals, learning approaches, and mathematics were examined in a path analysis model. Results revealed self-efficacy exerted direct, positive influence on mastery performance – approach deep approach, mathematic achievement; self efficacy influenced avoidance goals negatively; value had direct effect approach.
