In this study, the oil extraction from favela (Cnidoscolus quercifolius) seeds was evaluated using a nonconventional ultrasound-assisted (UAE) method with ethanol as solvent. UAE performed 33-Box–Behnken design to evaluate effects of temperature, solvent-to-solid ratio, and ultrasound intensity on yield, concentrations tocopherols β-sitosterol, antioxidant activity oil. The variable greatest influence yield ratio. highest (46.9 wt%) obtained after 5 min at 60°C, 15 ml/g, 20 W/cm2....
The objective of this study was to determine parameters crambe oil culvtived with phosphorus (P), respect content, fatty acid composition, minor compounds, and total antioxidant activity. experiment followed a randomized block design, five doses P (0, 40, 80, 120, 160 kg ha −1 ) four replications. All results were subjected analysis covariance (ANCOVA) 5% significance. dose had negative linear association δ‐tocopherol activity, positive stigmasterol carotenoids. influenced the concentrations...
This study evaluated the potential of macauba pulp oil (MPO) as a feedstock for continuous ester production using ethanol under pressurized conditions. Experiments were performed in order to obtain data effect process variables on ethyl (FAEE) and free fatty acid (FFA) conversion catalyst-free process. From results, it appears that MPO mass ratio pressure with more favorable response variables. The addition n-hexane caused an increase esters; however, this had negative FFA conversion. water...
In this study, the temperature and pressure of supercritical CO 2 extraction were evaluated to obtain oleoresin Brunfelsia uniflora leaves flowers. The compounds identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The antioxidant activity was three different methods. The highest yields 3.32% at 40°C 200 bar for leaves, 1.03% 60°C main extracted from phytol varying 11.95 36.42% α-tocopherol 15.53 43.10%, flowers geranyl linalool 11.05 21.42% L.F. Cecropia pachystachya Trécul is popularly known in Brazil as embaúva or embaúba. Pharmacological activities were reported extant studies including the development of anxiolytic, antidepressant, hypoglycemic, antioxidant, cardiotonic, sedative, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and leishmanicidal properties for aqueous alcoholic extracts prepared by infusion maceration C. leaves. However, there a paucity examining leaves obtained supercritical fluid technology. This study evaluated extraction...
