We construct a gravity dual for charge density waves (CDW) in which the translational symmetry along one spatial direction is spontaneously broken. Our linear perturbation calculation on side produces frequency dependence of optical conductivity, exhibits two familiar features waves, namely pinned collective mode and gapped single-particle excitation. These indicate that our also provides new mechanism to implement metal insulator phase transition by CDW, further supported fact d.c....

Here, we extend the study of neutral massless perturbations higher dimensions and discuss dimensional influence on validity hypothesis. We apply the new version of gedanken experiment designed recently by Sorce and Wald, to over-spin 5-dimensional Myers-Perry black holes. As a result, extremal holes cannot be over-spun at linear order. On other hand, although nearly could order, this process is shown prohibited quadratic order correction. Thus no violation weak cosmic censorship conjecture occurs around

Although holographic duality has been regarded as a complementary tool in helping understand the nonequilibrium dynamics of strongly coupled many-body systems, it still remains remarkable challenge how to confront its predictions quantitatively with real experimental scenarios. By matching vortex phenomenological dissipative Gross-Pitaevskii models, we find that dissipation mechanism can be well captured by Landau form rather than Keldysh one, although latter is much more widely used...
