The direct bonding of metals to ceramics is possible utilizing a gas‐metal eutectic. mechanism copper foil in slightly oxidizing atmosphere presented. It involves the formation eutectic melt between and oxygen at temperature below melting point copper, which serves bring into intimate contact with substrate. A brief review other metal‐ceramic techniques given for comparison. Metals this technique applicable include Cu, Fe, Ni, Co, Ag, Cr, Mo, Al.

A study on the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station spent-fuel pool (SFP) at Unit 4 (SFP4) is presented in this paper. We discuss design characteristics of SFP4 and its decay heat load detail provide a model that we developed to estimate SFP evaporation rate based temperature. The level following March 11, 2011, accident predicted fundamental conservation laws mass energy. Our temperatures are good agreement with measured data consistent Tokyo Electric Power Company evaluation results.
Frictional contacts between crossing fibers consist of a true frictional component and ratchet that causes fiber migration. The saw-tooth shaped profile Merino wool operates as on the curved surface up to radius curvature about 50 microns: ' An apparatus method for measurement longitudinal rubbing force mounted glass is described gives reproducible record showing each scale edge traversed. A convenient analysis these records show effectiveness scales different ampli tudes fiber-to-fiber...
By around 2025, thorium-based fuel cycles are likely to be deployed internationally. States such as China and India pursuing research, development, deployment pathways toward a number of commercial-scale thorium cycles, they already building test reactors the associated cycle infrastructure. In future, potential exists for these emerging programs sell, export, deploy technology in other states. Without technically adequate international safeguards protocols measures place, any future...
