To accurately investigate the evolution characteristics and generation mechanism of retained oil, study analyzed organic-rich lacustrine shale samples from Paleogene Kongdian Formation in Cangdong Sag, Bohai Bay Basin. This analysis involves Rock-Eval pyrolysis, pyrolysis simulation experiments, Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GC–MS), reactive molecular dynamics simulations (ReaxFF). The results revealed oil primarily consisted n-alkanes with carbon numbers ranging C14 to C36. occurred...
Pyrolysis experiments were conducted on lacustrine organic-rich shale from Cangdong Sag in Bohai Bay Basin, China, to investigate the impact of hydrocarbon generation pore structure evolution. Thermal evolution is found control transformation organic matter, products characteristics, and changes. Furthermore, volume specific surface area increase with increasing maturity. In low-mature stage, retained oil content begins increase, volumes show slight changes, primary pores are occluded by...
The research on the correlation between hydrocarbon accumulations and magmatic activities has always attracted aroused much wide attention. Existing primarily generations capability of source rocks quality reservoirs by diabase intrusions. whereas, rare systematic been conducted oiliness enrichment mechanism. To be specific, intrusive zone, contact metamorphic zone normal shale Funing Formation in Gaoyou Sag, Subei Basin were taken as object this study. Moreover, study, generation quality,...
Diabase intrusion is a common geological phenomenon in lacustrine shale formations continental basins China, which has important effects on the physical and chemical properties of oil reservoirs. In this paper, we systematically analyzed pore structure diabase-intruded Gaoyou sag Subei Basin using geochemical tests, thin-section observation, argon ion polishing scanning electron microscopy (SEM), low-temperature nitrogen adsorption experiments (LTNA), other methods combined with monofractal...
The second Member of the Funing Formation in Haian Sag Subei Basin is a set organic‐rich fine‐grained sedimentary rocks, which key interval for shale oil exploration. Under premise establishing high‐frequency sequence framework, fine description lithofacies change characteristics continental rocks basis prediction favourable areas and optimization production horizons. This study established through wavelet transformation natural gamma curve framework Formation, using thin‐section...
