The metal ion effect on the bulk VPO was investigated using aldol condensation of methyl acetate and formaldehyde to acrylate. catalyst with 2 mol % Zr exhibited highest acrylate formation rate 18.6 μmol·g–1·min–1. A combination X-ray diffraction, BET, TPD, XPS, EPR, together activity testing data, utilized analyze explain origin effects. promotion production by intercalation associated its interaction phase. When concentration attained %, Zr4+ distributed in surface adjacent layers...
One‐step catalytic synthesis of methyl acrylate from acetate and trioxane, with 90.7% yield 91.8% selectivity, was realized at 10–25°5. NMR analysis confirmed the ester enolization generation [i‐Pr 2 EtN‐H] + [TfO] − in presence i‐Pr EtN Bu BOTf, which affected by solvent base. The depolymerization trioxane into formaldehyde catalyzed BOTf. in‐situ mechanism efficiency determined analyzed. Mechanism‐based kinetic thermodynamic studies were conducted for better understanding this route. Also...
