Abstract This paper presents a review on issues additivating vegetal oils with friction and anti-wear modifiers. A SWOT analysis reveals the shortcomings of these trend in their modification by help additives. Based research reports available from literature experimental work, authors formulated synthesis how wear modifiers act lubricants especially oils. They discussed influence some added oils, soybean oil rapeseed oil. The conclusion is that additivation still at beginning as reported...

In this work, studies were performed on oxidative stability by determining the transmittance spectra, components and trichomatic coordinates, color differences for grape seed oils (GSO) subjected to a forced oxidation treatment at temperatures of 100 °C 120 °C, 4, 8 10 h. For purpose, constant airflow 30 L/min was used. GSO also flammability tests heated cylindrical surface determine lowest temperature which oil ignites, correlated with highest does not ignite. According results, these are...

. The authors experimentally determined the influence of temperature and shear rate on dynamic viscosity two vegetable oils (soybean oil, olive oil). hydraulic oil ISO VG 46 was used for comparison. behavior these similar to one, larger rates (30 s-1…80 s-1) higher temperatures (60ºC…90ºC). For lower (3 s-1…30 (30ºC…50ºC), decreases sharper as compared oil. constants in Azian relation Ostwald de-Waele, Herschel–Bulkley Carreau models. For this paper, the authors studied behavior of castor oil, when it accidentally reaches a hot surface. Thus, lowest temperature at which oil ignited least once in three tests and highest did not ignite were determined. To determine as accurately possible these two temperatures, total 29 performed. The procedure complies with ISO 20823:2018 Petroleum related products -Determination flammability characteristics fluids contact surfaces - Manifold ignition test.

This paper presents a tribological characterization in seizure regime for two lubricants (rapeseed oil and rapeseed additivated with 1%wt TiO2). Tests were done on four-ball tester, the load range at tester shaft 500...900 N, step of 50 60 seconds rotational speed 1400 rpm (equivalent to sliding 0.53 m/s). There discussed average value friction coefficient, wear scar diameter (WSD), flash temperature parameter several texture 3D parameters. Till 600 influence additivation is not obvious,...
