In this work, the corrosion behavior of an AA6012 aluminum alloy, submitted to a T6 strengthening treatment (solubilization and aging), later severe plastic deformation, through equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) was studied. Some these samples were cryogenic before ECAP process. The analysis carried out at room temperature by means electrochemical characterization in 0.1 M Cl− deaerated aerated solution pH 2. For purpose, Tafel plots impedance spectroscopy tests performed. evolution...
In this work, the localized corrosion resistance of different batches AISI 430 and 304 stainless steels, having Scotch-Brite surface finishing, was investigated as a function their roughness (in terms Rz) chemical composition. The study performed by recording anodic cyclic potentiodynamic polarization curves at room temperature in two NaCl solutions (0.35 1.75 wt %). From curves, potential (Ecorr), protection (Eprot), pitting (Epit) were obtained. general, results indicate that has better...
The effect of a new passivation treatment, obtained by immersion the galvanized reinforcements in trivalent chromium salts based solution, on chlorides induced corrosion has been investigated. To investigate also cement alkalinity behaviour reinforcements, concretes manufactured with three different European cements were compared. results show that alternative treatment hexavalent chromium-free baths forms effective protection layers rebar surfaces. higher rates zinc coating concrete...
