인구 고령화 및 평균기대수명 연장과 더불어 만성질환자의 수가 크게 증가하였다. 고통스러운 불치병을 앓는 환자의 경우, 그에게 고통을 멈추고 '존엄한 죽음'을 선택할 권리가 있는지가 사회적 쟁점으로 부상하였다. 이 연구는 존엄사에 대한 사람들의 태도가 그들이 인지한 가족관계 만족과 대인신뢰에 따라 어떻게 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다. 자료는 성균관대학교 서베이리서치센터에서 실시한 2018년도 한국종합사회조사(Korean General Social Survey)를 활용하였으며, 총 853명을 대상으로 이항 로짓분석을 실시하였다. 분석은 주요 독립변수인 대인신뢰 외에도 배경변수인 성, 연령, 교육수준, 소득, 주관적 건강수준, 가구형태, 종교를 고려하였다. 배경변수만을 투입한 모형에서는 소득수준이 높은 사람일수록 동의할 가능성이 높았고, 불교나 개신교를 믿는 사람이 종교가 없는 사람에 비해 동의하지 않을 높았다. 배경변수를 통제한 후에도 변수는 태도와 유의한 관계가 있는 것으로...
