Muscleblind (mbl) is an essential muscle and neuronal splicing regulator. Mbl hosts multiple circular RNAs (circRNAs), including circMbl, which conserved from flies to humans. Here, we show that mbl-derived circRNAs are key regulators of MBL by cis- trans-acting mechanisms. Immune-activating cytokines such as interleukin-12 (IL-12) hold strong potential for cancer immunotherapy but have been limited by high systemic toxicities.
