Biocorrosion of materials used in dental restorations is a complex process involving various bacterial species that coexist as biofilms. Since copper possesses excellent antibacterial properties, it could help minimize this problem. The aim study to assess the antibiofilm characteristics and corrosion resistance CoCr copper-coated alloys multispecies biofilm model. coated with (CoCr/Cu) using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) were investigated. samples incubated media without for 24 h 15 days....
Abstract The ultrafiltration technique evaluates the interactions of water‐soluble polymers with metal ions. Aqueous solutions containing poly(sodium 4‐styrenesulfonate) (PSS), Cu(NO 3 ) 2 , NaNO and iminodiacetic acid (IDAA) are examined by this technique. Cu 2+ undergoes complex formation IDAA intreracts electrostatically PSS. On other hand, Na + ions in competition for electrostatic binding to ultrafiltered keeping ionic strength constant, so their compositions allowed change...
