Preparation of stable hydrogels using physically (electrostatically) interacting charge-complementary polyelectrolyte chains seems to be more attractive from a practical point view than the use organic crosslinking agents. In this work natural polyelectrolytes-chitosan and pectin-were used, due their biocompatibility biodegradability. The biodegradability is confirmed by experiments with hyaluronidase as an enzyme. It has been shown that pectins different molecular weights makes it possible...
Nitric oxide (NO) is a multifunctional, gaseous signaling molecule implicated in both physiological and protective responses to biotic abiotic stresses, including salinity. In this work, we studied the effects of 200 µM exogenous sodium nitroprusside (SNP, donor NO) on components phenylpropanoid pathway, such as lignin salicylic acid (SA), its relationship with wheat seedling growth under normal salinity (2% NaCl) conditions. It was established that SNP contributed accumulation endogenous SA...
The first-stage acid-base equilibrium of 5,5,6-trihydroxy-6-methyldihydropyrimidine-2,4(1
Dengue virus (DENV) is one of the most geographically distributed mosquito-borne flaviviruses, like Japanese encephalitis (JEV), and Zika (ZIKV). In this study, a library known novel Glycyrrhizic acid (GL) derivatives bearing amino residues or their methyl/ethyl esters in carbohydrate part were synthesized studied as DENV inhibitors vitro using cytopathic effect (CPE), viral infectivity yield assays with DENV1 DENV-2 Vero E6 A549 cells. Among GL conjugates tested, compound hits GL-D-ValOMe...
Endophytic Bacillus subtilis is a non-pathogenic beneficial bacterium which promotes plant growth and tolerance to abiotic stresses, including drought. However, the underlying physiological mechanisms are not well understood. In this study, potential role that endogenous salicylic acid (SA) plays in regulating endophytic B. subtilis-mediated drought wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) was examined. The study conducted on genotypes with contrasting levels of intrinsic (drought-tolerant (DT) cv....
Background: Synthesis of lipophilic mitochondria-targeted antioxidants is a topical problem modern biochemistry. The so-called "radical sponges" effect very high ability fullerene C60 and its derivatives to catch free radicals. experiments showed that the increase resistance animals towards oxidative stress prevent passing neurodegenerative processes. Keywords: [2+1]-cycloaddition, Arndt-Eistert reaction, methyl maleopimarate, methanofullerenes, Bingel amino acids.
Abstract The kinetics of nucleophilic fullerene cyclopropanation by halomethyl ketones with a diterpene fragment has been studied the Bingel method, and influence biologically active cyclopropanating agent on process estimated. It revealed that favorable conditions for carrying out reaction result in maximum monofunctionalized methanofullerenes formation yield.
The synthesis of 2,3-indoles Glycyrrhetinic acid (GLA) and its methyl ester was carried out by the Fischer reaction. Reductive transformations GLA 2,3-indole 3a were to obtain 11-deoxo- 9,12-diene analogs. N-methylation gave N-methyl-indole-11-oxo-18β-olean-12-en-30-oic acid. antiulcer anti-inflammatory activity studied in rats mice. It found, compound exhibied a pronounced indomethacin model ulcers carrageenan acute edoema mice, at dose 50 mg/kg. This is first report anti-ulcer activities...
This study investigated a library of known and novel glycyrrhizic acid (GL) conjugates with amino acids dipeptide esters, as inhibitors the DENV NS2B-NS3 protease. We utilized docking algorithms to evaluate interactions these GL derivatives key residues (His51, Asp75, Ser135, Gly153) within 10 Å DENV-2 protease binding pocket (PDB ID: 2FOM). It was found that compounds 11 17 exhibited unique patterns, forming hydrogen bonds Tyr150, Gly153. Based on molecular data, L-glutamic dimethyl ester,...
Biological remediation of agricultural soils contaminated with oil is complicated by the presence residual amounts chemical plant protection products, in particular, herbicides, which, like oil, negatively affect soil microbiome and plants. In this work, we studied five strains bacteria genera Pseudomonas Acinetobacter, which exhibited a high degree biodegradation (72–96%). All showed resistance to herbicides based on 2,4-D, imazethapyr tribenuron-methyl, ability fix nitrogen, phosphate...
