Mesoporous hybrid shells of TiO2/NiO were prepared by sequential coating TiO2 and NiO on SiO2 nanospheres through a combined sol–gel hydrothermal process followed calcination template removal.
Carbon-incorporated mesoporous NiO/TiO2 (NiO/TiO2/C) hybrid shells as low-cost and highly efficient visible light photocatalysts have been developed. The NiO/TiO2/C were synthesized by choosing polystyrene nanospheres templates, followed TiO2 NiO coating, finally the calcination post-treatment to carbonize PS with aid of metal oxides. Polystyrene serve dual purposes both a template ensure hollow structure electrically conductive graphite carbon source. Evaluation their photocatalytic...
Mesoporous hybrid shells of carbonized polyaniline (CPANI)/Mn2O3 with well-controlled diameter and high surface area have been synthesized through protected calcination processes. Originating from polystyrene template, PANI, MnO2, SiO2 were sequentially loaded, followed by template removal calcination, resulting in the desired CPANI/Mn2O3 shells. The introduction shell was established to play determining role maintaining configuration during process under temperature. showed outstanding...
Mesoporous C, N-codoped TiO2 (C/N-TiO2) hybrid shells incorporated with graphite carbon were synthesized. Catalytic results indicated that C and N codoping could remarkably improve the photocatalytic performance of TiO2.
Hydrophilic Fe3O4-Au Janus nanoparticles have been synthesized through a facile aqueous solution-based Fe3O4 seed-mediated chemical reduction route, where Au can be in situ formed on surfaces of PVP-modified by adopting the well-known citrate route. The diameter controllably tuned range 3-12 nm simply changing initial molar ratio between sodium and auric acid. as-fabricated hydrophilic shown excellent catalytic performance with high activity recyclability due to synergetic effect nanoparticles.
A highly viscoelastic fluid formed by the ionic liquid-type surfactant 1-hexadecyl-3-nonyl imidazolium bromide ([C16imC9]Br) in water absence of any additive was studied. The phase behavior and morphology aggregates were studied a combination rheological techniques, small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), cryo-etch-scanning electron microscopy (cryo-etch-SEM) freeze-fractured transmission (FF-TEM). [C16imC9]Br aqueous solutions showed interesting as function both concentration temperature,...
The search for functional supramolecular aggregations with different structure has attracted interest of chemists because they have the potential in industrial and technological application. Hydrophobic interaction great influence on formation these aggregations, such as hexagonal liquid crystals, wormlike micelles, hydrogels, etc. So a systematical investigation was done to investigate alkyl chain length surfactants aggregation behavior water. 1-hexadecyl-3-alkyl imidazolium bromide water...
The influence of the alkyl chain length ionic liquid surfactants 1-hexadecyl-3-alkyl imidazolium bromide [C16imCn]Br (n = 2-16) on their aggregation behavior with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in water was studied. rheological properties, thermostability, and microstructure samples were characterized via a combination rheology, cryo-transmission electron microscopy, polarization optical small-angle X-ray scattering. Upon addition SDS, 2, 4, 6) rodlike micelles transit into gels high content....
Lamellar liquid crystals have amazing lubricating and drug-solubilizing properties. Hence, the combination of drug molecules with lamellar is expected to be used in joint lubrication treatment. In this study, partial phase diagram Tween 85/Tween 80/H2O three-component system was determined. The structure changed from a hexagonal crystal increase 85 content. showed superior properties due their unique structure. Furthermore, model release during friction established for first time. It found...
Mesoporous Ni(OH)2 nanowires with surface cavities have been chosen as multifunctional supports for Au nanoparticles remarkably improved catalytic performances.
The formation of long cylindrical wormlike micelles at low temperatures (near 0 °C) is relatively rare. In this work, the effect different salts on viscoelasticity formed by ionic liquid surfactant (1-octadecyl-3-nonyl imidazolium bromide, [C18imC9]Br) and glycerol/1,2-propanediol mixture temperature was studied. rheological measurements revealed that only sodium salicylate (NaSal) can increase [C18imC9]Br up to 15 times existence range. When concentration fixed, [C18imC9]Br/NaSal increases...
In this study, flower-like porous iron doped bismuth oxybromide on activated carbon visible light catalysts (BiOBr/Fe@AC) were prepared by a reactive imidazole ionic liquid surfactant assisted solvothermal process. The morphologies, structures, optical properties and photocatalytic investigated in detail. morphology of the synthesized Fe BiOBr composites gradually changed from regular spherical shape to non-specific with increase alkyl chain length surfactants. photocurrent BiOBr/Fe@AC is...
Viscoelastic wormlike micelles consisting of the ionic liquid-type surfactant [C16imC8]Br were utilized for synthesis CdS quantum dots.
The viscoelasticity of wormlike micelles composed ionic surfactants typically shows an exponential decrease with increasing temperature, which limits their application in relatively high-temperature (>90.0 °C) oilfields and the synthesis functional materials as supramolecular templates at high temperatures. In this work, a series imidazolium gemini surfactants, 1,9-(ethane-1,2-diyl)bis(3-alkyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium) bromide ([Cn-2-Cnim]Br2, n = 12, 14, 16, 18, 20), were synthesized. Their...
