Drug delivery by means of transdermal patches raised great interest as a non-invasive and sustained therapy. The present research aimed to design patch for melatonin, which was encapsulated in polycaprolactone (PCL) nanoparticles (NPs) employing flash nanoprecipitation (FNP) technique. Melatonin-loaded PCL were successfully prepared with precise control the particle size effectively tuning process parameters. effect parameters on assessed dynamic light scattering producing particles suitable...

The in situ polymerisation of acrylic acid using low temperature plasma treatment was carried out on polyester, polyamide and polypropylene fabrics with the aim improving their dyeability basic dyes. overall colour strength obtained significantly increased as a result this treatment. However, while wash fastness acceptable polyamide, it unsatisfactory polyester fabrics, probably due to lack penetration these fibres by monomer. Scanning electron microscopy Fourier transform infrared...

Abstract This paper explores the possibility of dyeing textile fabrics with halochromic dyes. Five different dyes were tested: bromocresol purple, m‐cresol chlorophenol red, curcumin and bromothymol blue. Preliminary was carried out on wool, polyacrylonitrile, polyester, polyamide 6.6, cotton cellulose acetate at 100°C for 40 minutes to evaluate affinity. All showed good affinity wool 6.6. Cotton required a mordant phase before dyeing. Washing light fastness evaluated dyed fabrics, as well...

Cotton and polyamide 6,6 fabrics coated with chitosan, a natural biopolymer, have been tested against two different bacteria strains: Staphylococcus aureus as Gram-positive bacterium Escherichia coli Gram-negative bacterium. Using the ASTM standard method (Standard Test Method for Determining Antimicrobial Activity of Agents Under Dynamic Contact Conditions) antibacterial testing, treated is contacted 1 h bacterial inoculum, present study aims to investigate possibility reach interesting...

Abstract Mixtures of an epoxy resin and organophilic montmorillonites were subjected to ultraviolet (UV)‐induced photopolymerization. Two types commercially available nanoclays, namely Cloisite 30B Na + , modified through interaction with organic compatibilizers (dodecylsuccinic anhydride, octadecylamine, octadecyl alcohol, octadecanoic acid). The dispersed in the liquid at 5 wt%, photopolymerized get nanocomposite films. kinetics photopolymerization was evaluated by means real‐time Fourier...
