Plastic production is skyrocketing due to convenience needs and thus, the amount of plastic waste increasing. There are several different methods handle waste, within which waste-to-energy processes viable options in certain settings. However, combustion materials a complicated complex process that can take place number ways. When exposed heat, polymers behave differently (e.g. have emission factors) not all types recommended be handled through combustion. Therefore, it vital achieve deeper...

Nitrogen-doped bamboo-shaped carbon nanotubes (N-BCNTs) and their non-doped conventional counterparts, multiwalled (MWCNTs) were compared as polymer reinforcing additives in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) matrix. The synthetized by catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) method. purity of both was measured thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) found to be >91%. Further on the morphology size (CNTs) performed transmission electron microscopy (TEM). PVC powder impregnated with CNTs ethanol using tip...
The role of organic solvents in governing the crystallization and morphology semi-crystalline poly-l-lactide (PLLA) sheets was systematically investigated. Three different solvents; ethyl acetate (EA), o-dichlorobenzene (ODCB), nitrobenzene (NB), with a solubility parameter analogous to PLLA high capability swelling, were chosen. It has been witnessed that degree crystal depends highly on swelling evaporation rate solvent. Besides, temperature time treatment played significant polymers....
Corn starch film samples cross-linked using malic, malonic, and succinic acids, thermoplastic were characterized tested for their water absorption, surface morphology, structural change, thermomechanical properties. The acids vary in acidity, number of hydroxyl groups, carbon chain length. presence an additional group has helped malic acid form more hydrogen bonding between molecules. relatively higher acidity compared to is found be another factor its better cross-linking potential. acid,...
Those plastics that have been used by food industry as packaging (especially in sweet industry) strict requirements. Most of these plastic constructions are primary or secondary with direct indirect contact foodstuff. Over the appropriate mechanical properties, packagings need to be safe enough material without any dangerous migration transfer. Recently polyethylene-terephthalate (PET) is which widely for this kind purpose and application. To substitute PET, only alternative fulfilling...
Abstract Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) has been produced by ring-opening polymerization method. During the processes different temperatures and process times have applied to reach an optimum setup that was used produce sample. The sample measured Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) methods identify structure, molar mass define glass transition of product obtain general information about physical chemical...
The goal of this paper is to model electro-dynamically the pinion-engaging mechanism (PEM) starter motors. purpose PEM switch a high current by means relatively low control current. system components (solenoid switch, lever, and overrunning clutch with drive pinion) that engages pinion ring gear. solenoid switches consist pull-in winding hold-in movable iron core. electro-dynamic contains inductance its partial derivatives which depend on position armature. An electromechanical measurement...
Abstract This paper presents a novel solution for shape optimization of compressed rubber parts. The procedure is based on the finite element method (FEM). A special purpose FEM code written in FORTRAN has been developed analysis nearly incompressible axi-symmetric Numerical stability and sensitivity input parameters are investigated. aim parameter to reduce time consuming computations process. objective find optimal investigated parts with specified load-displacement curve. regression model...
Summary This paper investigates a battery snap-in operation performed by an industrial robot. The snap-fit phenomenon is experienced during the insertion of batteries into holder. In order to understand nature phenomenon, large displacement but small deformation theory used model operation. stability equilibrium points analysed in determine so-called trip point. purpose investigation augment control robot with force feedback. A microcontroller-based measurement system implemented provide...
Abstract The shortage of oil and related minerals also their extreme environmental drawbacks are the main reason for quick-growing interest in biodegradable polymer composites production. Biodegradable mainly produced from renewable resources which biologically degradable. In this research, corn starch was plasticized with glycerol. thermoplastic reinforced calcium carbonate precipitate powder as a filler pine wood fibre reinforcement. Free (FTPS), (CTPS), (WTPS), hybrid composite (HTPS)...
Abstract: Modeling and robotic handling of a plastic box buckle is discussed in this paper. The closing mechanism the simulated to determine characteristic nonlinear load-deflection curve. An intelligent end-effector was designed manufactured handle assembly with robot. force measured by built-in load cell its values are processed micro-controller. can be used system, which deals different snap-fit applications.
In most of the developing countries, plastic polypropylene is not fully recycled and converted in-to use after it once used. Sisal fiber also widely available in different countries like Ethiopia. Adding this two materials automotive interior part was taken as a primary motive for reduces cost environmentally friendly. Thus, main purpose research to develop composite material from natural fibre (sisal fiber) reinforced with waste (polypropylene) automobile accessories specifically internal...
Abstract: This paper deals with the dynamical analysis of a crane model. Truss finite elements are used to discretize suspending chains so called updated Lagrangian description. nonlinear model is regarded be best approximation which linear models compared. The inertia and independent degrees freedom also taken into consideration by models. goal find model, can as an observer in antisway control crane.
Accurate specimen marking is crucial during breast cancer surgery to avoid misorientation, which can cause inadequate re-excision and tumor recurrence. We studied methods at various centers create a tool that prevents misorientation. An online questionnaire surveyed procedures major in Hungary, was developed using troubleshooting method. Twelve out of twenty units responded (60\%). Nine use an institutionally standardized system. Only half the surgical teams had clear mammography images....
Abstract The microwave initiated polycondensation is a new approach for polylactic acid production. time need of this process quite less compared to the standard process, but progress and improvement molar mass most important basic factor. In my earlier work has already been investigated, so be able compare both methods PLLA produced by too. measurement weights crucial point polymer synthesis. According rheology-based method was used again define masses during polymerization make comparison...
