The storage stability and corrosive character of soybean biodiesel stabilised with tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) was investigated through static immersion corrosion tests. Coupons carbon steel galvanised were immersed in without TBHQ for 12 weeks. Measurements total acid number, peroxide value, oxidation (Rancimat induction period), metal release, consumption at different stages performed. After weeks the test both steels, non-stabilised biodiesels presented times below EN 14214 limit (6 h);...
The removal of pollutants from water should be followed by a proper treatment the spent adsorbents. In this study, sugarcane bagasse/polydopamine (SB/PDA) adsorbents were applied in batch and column adsorption studies towards Cr(VI) ions. Adsorbents prepared with higher concentration dopamine (4 g.L−1) led to more efficient (SB/PDA4) maximum capacity (qmax) 138 mg.g−1. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses revealed that mechanism involved ion-dipole electrostatic interactions...
A procedure coupling acid decomposition and precipitation, using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP- OES) is proposed for the determination of Cl, Br I in milk samples. During mineralization process closed open vessels (microwave ovens), anions are precipitated as salts low solubility products (AgCl, AgBr AgI). After separation from digestate solution, precipitates dissolved with ammonia resulting a 20% v/v solution. The final solution was directly introduced into...

The current electrochemical method for H2 production is water electrolysis, a process with high energy demand, which limited by the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). One way to handle problems related OER use other oxidative reactions so-called coupled electrolysis. option SO2 oxidation (SO2OR), that generates H2SO4, has industrial use, consumption of an abundant pollutant demands, under standard conditions, 0.70 V less than according theoretical predictions. On basis calculations mechanism...
Electroanalytical stripping techniques have been well-used for trace-metal determinations, because of their remarkable sensitivity and selectivity. However, when these are applied organic materials, such as crude oil petroleum-based fuels, the samples must be decomposed. This paper evaluates use different microwave ovens decomposition diesel fuel to determine content copper, lead, mercury, zinc in digestates. A focused-microwave (FM) oven using H2SO4/HNO3/H2O2, operated at atmospheric...
Abstract Electrodeposition of bismuth on gold microelectrodes for determination Pb(II) by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) was accomplished an in situ procedure alkaline solution. A linear calibration plot the concentration range 40 to 6700 nmol L −1 ( r =0.998) obtained, detection limit found be 12.5 S / N =3) and relative standard deviation solutions containing 1 μmol 4% n =12). The analytical performance proposed sensor tested measuring a wine sample. result good agreement...
Cooking is imperative for beans owing to the presence of compounds that can negatively affect nutritional value. Additionally, heating increase protein digestibility and induce desirable sensory properties. However, cooking also causes considerable changes in composition numerous chemical constituents, including amino acids, vitamins, minerals. For this, effects domestic on essential element concentrations various species ( Phaseolus vulgaris L.) were investigated using jalo, fradinho,...
