A method for the synthesis of allyl substituted γ-butenolides via carbonyl ylide rearrangement vinyl sulfoxonium ylide-derived carbenes has been developed. At rt, mechanism involves a generation/allyloxy furan formation/[3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement/isomerization sequence generation 3-allyl butenolides. 70 °C, instead final isomerization step, resulting [3,3]-sigmatropic product undergoes further to produce 5-allyl butenolide. In absence catalyst, reaction affords diene [2,3]-sigmatropic...

Introduction: To address the urgent demand for biofortified wheat enriched with health-beneficial dietary fibres such as β-glucan, this study employed meticulous crossbreeding between established cultivars and β-glucan-rich wild relative Aegilops kotschyi accession “AK-3790”. Methods: Within context, a derivative line encompassing pair of 7U chromosomes from Ae. Kotschyi , denoted 63-2-13, was identified. The presence chromosome in confirmed through comprehensive molecular marker genomic...

Forty-two inbred lines were planted in Randomized Block Design with three replications to check variability, heritability and genetic advance as percent of mean for grain yield its attributing traits during Kharif 2021 at Research Farm, CCS HAU, RRS Uchani, Karnal. Understanding maize is critical effective plant breeding improvement program. Analysis variance revealed highly significant differences all studied traits. Genotypic phenotypic coefficient variation was highest small difference...

Chickpea is prone to many abiotic stresses such as heat, drought, salinity, etc. which cause severe loss in yield. Tolerance towards these quantitative nature and studies have been done map the loci influencing traits different populations using markers. This study an attempt meta-analyse those reported projected over a high-density consensus provide more accurate information on regions cold salinity tolerance chickpea.

Considering global warming as a major constraint of yield and quality, the present study accessed impact terminal heat stress on wheat stability grain Fe Zn content in wheat. Twenty-three genotypes CGIAR Research Program (CRP) two check varieties, PBW343 HD2967 were evaluated for under conditions at stage. Stability measures indicated CRP7, CRP8, CRP33, CRP46, CRP48 to be most stable genotypes. Grain iron (Fe) zinc (Zn) showed high degree variation. Under normal sown varied from 20.47 ppm...

Performance and yield stability of doubled haploid population wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) under high temperature regime. Abstract India, the second most populated country largest producer worldwide, is vulnerable to global warming especially heat stress. In present investigation, derived from PBW343/IC252478 cross was characterized for various phenotypic morpho-physiological traits subjected analysis stress conditions. These lines were planted on a single location i.e., Agricultural farm...

Abstract The elevating temperature makes heat stress one of the major issues for wheat production globally. To elucidate genetic basis and map tolerance traits, a set 166 doubled haploid lines (DHLs) derived from cross between PBW3438/IC252874 was used. population evaluated under Normal sown (NS) late (LS) conditions, by exposing to during rabi season. canopy (CT) showed positive correlations with grain yield, whereas Soil plant analysis development (SPAD) not significantly correlated...

Abstract Starch synthase III is associated with starch accumulation in wheat. In-silico characterization indicated two homologous copies of TaSSIII gene, TaSSIIIa, and TaSSIIIb, on plus strand chromosome 1 minus 2, respectively. TaSSIIIa shares maximum similarity HvSSIIIa whereas, TaSSIIIb exhibited OsSSIIIb. It encodes proteins N-terminal transit peptide, SSIII-specific domain, C-terminal catalytic conserved glycosyl-transferase domain variations among the homeologs. The has N-glycosylation...

Crop lodging, either stem breaking/stem bending or root is a major concern for farmers worldwide. In the present study,meta-QTLs, ortho-MQTLs and candidate genes related to lodging its associated traits were identified using 836 of 1,269 known QTLs retrieved from 107 QTL mapping studies published during 1998-2022. The study resulted in identification 86 MQTLs with an average confidence interval (CI) 1.66 cM as against CI >7.08 (4.26-fold reduction) initial QTLs. Out MQTLs, subset 12...
