Abstract Continuous SAPO‐34 membranes were prepared on porous alumina tubular supports, and shown to be useful for light gas separations at low high temperatures. Single‐gas permeances of CO 2 , N CH 4 decreased with increasing kinetic diameter. For the best membrane 300 K, He H less than that because He, small compared pore, differences in heat adsorption determined permeance order. The smaller component permeated fastest /CH /N mixtures between 470 K. /CO mixtures, which separated by...
Four types of hydrophilic zeolite membranes (A-type, Al−ZSM-5, mordenite, and Y-type) were used to dehydrate water/THF mixtures by pervaporation. At 303 K, the total fluxes increased with pore size, lower Si/Al ratios had higher separation selectivities. The Y-type membrane, which was prepared using a template-free seeding technique, highest flux selectivity; at 333 2.4 kg m-2 h-1 selectivity 290. water feed concentration, but decreased. Separation based on both preferential adsorption...

All-silica β zeolite is shown to be effective for MTBE removal from water. The silica was prepared directly gel, and it more than dealuminated adsorption. Water 2-propanol adsorption isotherms showed that the all-silica hydrophobic β. amount of adsorbed on increased linearly with concentration 9.4 590 μg/L.
1,3-Propanediol was separated from aqueous solutions by pervaporation through an X-type zeolite membrane on a γ-Al2O3 support. Binary, ternary, and quaternary mixtures cell-free fermentation broth were used. At 308 K, the total fluxes for solution 2.1 1.2 kg/(m2 h), respectively. Pervaporation of all components increased with temperature, but water flux at fastest rate. From to 328 1,3-propanediol/glycerol selectivity model 59 67; it 61 110 broth. The 1,3-propanediol/glucose 1900 2200....
A Ge-substituted ZSM-5 membrane prepared on a porous, tubular, stainless steel support was effective for the separation of acetic acid from water by pervaporation. The Ge−ZSM-5 had higher fluxes and lower pure than silicalite-1 because it is more hydrophobic silicalite-1. selective preferential adsorption acid, both flux selectivity increased with temperature. total decreased slightly as feed concentration 0.33 to 5 wt %, one-half its initial value. For % feed, 0.43 kg/(m2·h) at 363 K an...
Seven types of zeolite membranes were synthesized on the inside surfaces alumina and stainless steel supports. The medium-pore (MFI, MEL, a MFI + MEL composite) prepared by using organic templates, whereas larger pore (MOR, FAU) template-free method. These used in pervaporation to separate 1,3-propanediol from glycerol glucose an aqueous solution. All had 1,3-propanediol/glycerol selectivities higher than 27, size did not have large influence membrane selectivity, which was mainly due...
Abstract The chemical bonding of titanium in MFI‐type zeolites (Ti‐silicalite) has been investigated using x‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Different silicalites as well pure titania (anatase) have analysed. We found a distinctively higher binding energy the Ti 2p photoelectrons Ti‐silicalite than titania‐ or anatase‐containing silicalite. same oxidation state all solids under study. attribute difference to different oxygen coordinations framework (tetrahedral) and anatase...
Abstract Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) were prepared by thermal reduction technique from (GO) in N 2 gas atmosphere at 600°C for 1 h. The results shown that rGO possessed a multiple layer structure and specific surface area BET of 389.9 m /g. electrochemical properties the materials have been investigated supercapacitors. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) remote sensing data can be used as an effective alternative to detect surface water and provide useful information regarding operational flood monitoring, in particular for the improvement of rapid assessments. However, this application frequently requires standard simple, yet robust, algorithms. Although thresholding approaches meet these requirements, limitations such inequality over large spatial regions challenges estimating optimal threshold values remain....
