Decompress(ve surgery or craniectomy (DC) is a treatment option, which should be considered when the intracranial pressure (ICP) cannot treated by conservative methods. The purpose of this study was to evaluate benefits decompressive in patients with intractable posttraumatic hypertension and patient selection criteria for management protocol. In study, 100 severe head injuries were involved. All according European Brain Injury Consortium (EBIC) guidelines assessed based on individual...

Background: Experimental models of traumatic brain injury (TBI), using a variety techniques and species, have been devised with the aim producing repeatable lesions resembling those found in head injuries. There are various TBI mentioned literature. To the Editor: I read with great interest article written by Münch et al. (2). found it instructive in its methodology and context of morphometric measurement. However, have reservations on some points, especially regard to patient selection. The authors state that initial Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) scores 26 patients were 8 or above, decompression was performed most these patients. It is well known decompressive craniectomy a final step treatment should be applied when intracranial pressure...
