We present measurements of X-ray Parametric Down Conversion at the Advanced Photon Source synchrotron facility. Using an incoming pump beam 22 keV, we observe simultaneous, elastic emission down-converted photon pairs generated in a diamond crystal. The are detected using high count rate silicon drift detectors with low noise. Production by down-conversion is confirmed measuring time-energy correlations detector signal, where within energy window ranging from 10 to 12 keV only observed short...
Two liquid scintillation type neutron detectors with efficiencies of the order 5% for counting 130-Mev neutrons have been studied. A fairly monoenergetic source was obtained from photodisintegration deuterons. Estimates were made counters as a function bias. Experiments indicate: (1) an appreciable effect products reactions carbon; (2) efficiency can be more accurately predicted small counter although behavior large qualitatively predicted; (3) attenuation due to lead shield in beam depends...
This paper outlines the use of charge detection mass spectrometry to simultaneously measure and micron-sized particles. In a flow-through instrument, was achieved through induction onto cylindrical electrodes that connect differential amplifier. Mass determined by particle acceleration under influence an electric field. Particles ranging from 30 400 fg (3 7 µm diameter) were tested. The detector design can within 10% accuracy for particles up 620 with total 500e− 56 ke−. range are expected...

We measured correlated X-ray photons from parametric down conversion as a means of creating entangled X-rays. Using Laue diffraction geometry, we the efficiency this process single crystal diamond samples.
